15:20 she is teaching sinhala words for uncle, bro, etc.... But 'machan' is tamil word. Most of northern, eastern, central part of Sri Lanka also Colombo people speaks tamil well. Most of the Muslim Sri Lankans' mother tongue is tamil.... The actual meaning of machan is brother in law. But we all use that word for friends also. "machan" is a soulful verse❤❤❤

It might be originally a Tamil word but “machan” is used in Sinhala speaking vocabulary with the meaning of “bro”.

ÃS'MË (ආස්මී) is one of the most difficult Sri Lankan confectionery to make in SRI LANKA. The word "machang" (මචං) is " highly offensive" slang word that anyone should be abstain from use in "general conversation," unless one is more accustomed or familiar . with the person with whom you are communicating in "polite" gesture.!. Sri Lankans often given the priority for the guest for getting the meal as that portrait the "utmost respect" from the inmates, and it's a common tradition that should not be misunderstood by a foreign guest while in Sri Lanka.😮😮😮 Thanks! Hello !The Kurunegala district has some amazing places,hikes and beautiful places.The most famous hike is Dolukanada.Also there are great places to stay in Kurunegala.I think in this area you can have some nice expereince.If you‘re ever planning to a trip to Kurunegala,let me know.I know the area very well and there are some great spots to explore

There is a little correction, when offer any meal to a local guest or foreign guest in a hotel or restaurant, ushering staff not going to join with them, but it totally different when it comes to a home they are joining with the guest. I think this culture is also new to colombo as well. Normally Sri Lankan dining table is concern as the hub of the home sharing love, care, understanding, giveaways and many more together. Only thing is locals use their hand to eat except folk and spoon. Sometimes It can be a barrier of this new concept Neither we have no such kind of culture. ❤ you all can enjoy the same meal together at one table. 🇱🇰😮
