It was to block all the air from entering the cabin. Used to get ice cold air in the winter months. Would freeze the passengers feet.

It’s a total different design. Nothing in this video will work in your application. I’m not familiar with the 6th gen explorers.

Platinum Garage I put a home a/c washable filter to keep debris out also I put a shut off valve on my heater hose going in the heater core, I shut the valve n it gets cold like 3 degrees colder due to the hot climate here in Ft Lauderdale...In the winter which is like 3 weeks the temperature drops to like 50 maybe 45 i open it to have heat...make a video on the shut off valve for hot States....

Very nice. Do you have a V8? The V6 explorer comes stock with a coolant shutoff valve. There is no supply until the heat is turned on.

@@iamdjnam v6 it does have it , but after installing my own it gets cold.. .
