1998 ranger XLT. 4 ltr. when the heat is turned up and the right mode knob is placed on (anything), the compressor engages. Why would the compressor engage if that heat is adjusted upward and the AC or defroster modes are not chosen? Actually, the middle temp knob does not need to be up. The compressor engages at any temp position.

I own a '97 Ranger, 4.0 L. My heat stays on. The cabin temp control selector has no resistance when you turn it. Would replacing the panel correct this, or is it the blend door?

I'm in the same situation. it is a 194 bulb, i believe. those are the same bulbs as the rear license plate light. i have a 2011 ford ranger.

My blow control on my panel only works on high.. I have put 3 different panels in and the problem is the same on all 3 .. I have a 1999 Ford Ranger . How can I fix this problem

Need a help. My Max AC is working, but AC doesn't when I change the knob from max ac to regular A/C. By a chance you might know what's the problem? It just blows a hot air.

i have an 01 ford ranger i have replaced the blower motor and the resistor and the blower motor relay keeps burning up i have replaced it several times what could be causing this?

All of a sudden my a/c and heater quit working all all together. It was working just fine. Till I shut the truck off. The a/c and heater won't even turn on now. And I replace all the fuses to. Should I replace the.control panel??

Similar to my truck, I just bought it, and the previous owner informed me of it acting funny, sometimes it would turn on full blast when shutting the truck off, and turning the knob to full blast would actually shut it off. But it would still function normally when the truck was on. Well that lasted about a week, and now it's always off and turning the knob does nothing. It still cycles between feet/face/defrost, but doesn't turn on and blow

I’ve got a non US market 2002 Ford Ranger XLT and the dashboard is different, there’s no visible bolts to take the panel out

Just saw your video. I have a question. The light no longer work. What do I do? The heater works no issues just no lights.

Those blue circular pieces on the back of the climate control probably unscrews and reveals a small incandescent bulb that needs to be replaced. I replaced the bulbs in a 2003 f150 and its climate controls are a bit different, but I imagine the Ford ranger has incandescent bulbs that must be replaced when they burn out. The 2003 F150 uses 161 Sylvania bulbs
