Oliver Smith @guitarsmith demos the above guitar using an Ashdown Studio Combo Amp and a MXR Bass Fuzz pedal. This original and the reissue are famously played by Krist Novoselic of Nirvana.

Yesterday I was told I'll get a hardly played original 1977 Ibanez Black Eagle Bass as a gift. I love to play guitar, but can't remember ever having tried a bass, so it will be cool to go and pick it up. If there is anything I should know about this guitar before plugging it in though, please don't hesitate to let me know 🎸👍

Guitar player?...lol nice bass though. I've been in love with it all my life. Last month I finally got my hands on one in a swap, it's a 1976. Put DR High Beams on it and a high mass bridge. You should hear it now...!!!

Ha! Is it that obvious? Yeah they are great basses. Are they good strings the DR hi beams?

@@guitarsmithtv I personally like them. On this bass they sound very raw, in a good way. People who like the vintage sound probably won't like them. No good for Motown...lol. And the high mass bridge seems to focus the sound more. It's a cheapie but goodie from aliexpress.
