it’s usually a button overhead or on one of the control panels that you can press which immediately starts it.

It’s a GM car, they have OnStar. The car automatically calls the emergency services if the car detects an accident. There’s also a button the the rear view mirror or by the interior overhead lights.

Had a situation exactly like 7:15 happen to me as well. Had been driving almost 13 hours straight and was 20 minutes away from my destination when my tire blew on the highway. I crashed into the concrete barriers on the side going about 55. Once my car finally stopped I hit the hazards, unclipped my seat belt, then reached for the door handle when I got hit. Got flown around the cabin and landed in the passenger side seat. Luckily my passenger side was facing oncoming traffic and not my driver side, otherwise I'd be dead It's scary being trapped on the highway after an accident like that, luckily I walked away with minor injuries and a slight concussion. Was a hell of a way to end a long night.

The last one was rough. Hope the people involved were okay. That one accident that caused like 5 other incidents 🤦🏻‍♀️ there should be more lighting so the cars could see the wreck ahead of time. Actually I rewatched it and it seems they shone the light at the car that crashed but somehow the other cars still failed to slow down. That’s why you always keep safe distance between other cars so you can avoid things like this. The person recording could’ve parked behind those cars and turned on their hazard lights if the other cars weren’t able to.

Not really, the blue suv was at fault for speeding to get past the recorder. But the person recording easily could have maintained their speed or slowed down and avoided the crash altogether

7:21 i wonder if you guys over there dont have the road advisory signs above your highways... as soon as a crash happens the tempo is reduced to 90 or even 70 and its shown above that there is an accident... sometime the opposing lane even gets their speed limited in case of a very bad accident bcs of people wanting to look / other drivers out on the road. It wouldve helped to prevent this

i’m assuming by over there you mean america (the clip looks like america and europe [“over there” sounds european] seems advanced enough to have that), in which case, nope. on large highways occasionally you’ll see a sign that says a town name, the miles, and time it takes to get there, which can sometimes tell you if there is an accident, but otherwise it’s every man for himself.

Pretty much at every onramp and sometimes random intervalls you’ll have these large screens accross all lanes of traffic displaying if necessary; speed (if it has been reduced from the usual 130kmh to for example 90 kmh, why its reduced (might be an accident, upcoming traffic jam, road works) or general information to know (youll get warning if there is a risk of ice, you get reminded to drive at the speeds advisable for the conditions for example in fog, general caution where no speed reduction is needed just drive a bit carefully etc) its pretty helpfull to help drivers know whats ahead and im sure it has helped to avoid a fee accidents. Its basically just a heads up for whatever is ahead and its really strange how the us doesnt seem to have it

I'm watching this shortly after I got in an accident. I live in Minnesota and we just had a huge snowfall when I was driving home. I was exiting a freeway when I tapped the brakes a little too hard and gave into natural instinct just to keep braking. Ended up 20 feet off the road in a ditch but there was no major damage to the car. Please be careful when you're out there everyone!

@@lucysyd2159 he was in his lane for the initial impact. Then he followed the car back into the other lane and kept pushing on the car until it lost control and flipped. When some drives into you, the natural inclination is to get away. But some people get dash cams and think that they can drive like a complete mother fucker if someone makes a mistake first.

Makes me think that I really got to start driving slower. 0:49 Whoever did this one really needs to be put in jail for attempted murder. 1:06 This one really shows that you need a web cam to show that you were in the right. 7:17 The guy who started this one off should have put his emergencies on and got out of the car and start warning on coming trafic. The guy filming should have done something as well.

Yeah idk why people do dumb shit like that. I mean yeah the guy in the blue truck is an idiot but you could clearly see it coming the whole way and the driver just refused to use his brakes. Could’ve prevented the entire incident but some people have massive egos on the road

I remember buying a new car and almost getting into an accident from the dealership home. I went out of town to go purchase a car that I found on a website at this dealership and I was new to this area. After getting the car I proceeded home by taking the highway and this ramp up the highway happens to have 2 lanes. One car was driving right beside me so and one was ahead so I slowed down incase the 2 lanes merge so the car to my right can get into the lane. However the car that was on the right had no intentions of merging into the lane so I thought maybe the right lane was an exit lane and since the car was so slow I started to speed up to match the speed limit. As soon as I was right beside this car they begin to merge into my lane as if I wasn't even there. I swerved to the left and managed to dodge the car and luckily there was no car on the highway so I didn't end up running into anyone. It was partly my fault for not waiting to see what the car would do before trying to pass him but on the other hand this person should have at least looked before merging into another lane. this happens to me a lot on my commute home from school. there's two instances where the roads merge into one and I've dealt with so many idiots all the way in the back of the line, speed up to try to pass me because they think they're always supposed to be first. this one time this lady sped past me to merge and almost scraped my car (im very protective of her), and when I reacted by honking at her to call out her bs, she just stuck up the finger for a solid two minute as if that would do anything.

I recently was test driving a car and almost totaled it because some old couple decided that they could drive on the wrong side of the road (like for real the road was only for people going my direction, no opposite lanes) luckely me and the car next to me saw it in time so we could merge into his lane.
