The location he hit the car would probably be fairly suspect given how slow the car would be moving in that location but it would definitely be something he could try to fight.

2:40 this video is heartbreaking. For anyone wondering, the driver of the semi unfortunately did not make it... he/she was pronounced dead at the scene. I think the semi was trying to avoid another car on top of the bridge, which caused it to drive off. But I’m not for certain. The video came up on my local news station so that’s how I know. If any details are wrong lmk Edit: there was a chain reaction on top of the bridge which caused the semi to drive off.

Apparently cars cutting off semis was a huge problem on that stretch of freeway so that’s why they assume he was trying to not hit a car that cut him off. He did end up hitting a car and then lost control and fell off the bridge.

0:18 Even as it began, I was thinking, "I see two little kids, please tell me nothing bad happens to them." And my heart sank when I saw what happened...thankfully, the child just fell off the scooter with no major injuries, but man, that could have been so much worse. Shame on that driver for driving through a crosswalk without even looking or stopping, with the light blinking.

@@ajossi The crossguard lights were flashing which means the pedestrian has the right away which means vehicles are to stop. This is 100% on the driver, and he probably shouldn't be driving.

There were enough people who didn't follow it then, and they died. Just watch "Signal 30" (1959,) "Red Asphalt" (original from the 1960s,) or "Red Asphalt II" from 1978. Drunk driving was a lot more popular and "OK" (emphasis on the quotation marks) before the early 1980s, and tons of people didn't use seat belts until the 1990s!

It's not that old of a car (I'd say a 2009 model or something like that), but it definitely had suspension problems. The main reason older cars were so easy to flip was that very few had sway bars - a long metal piece in the suspension that reduces body roll. I'm pretty sure when that car was new it came with a rear sway bar, but it being a Jaguar, the sway bar probably broke at some point in it's life lol

Two comments: That mother with her kids in the crosswalk having to watch her daughter nearly get killed by that hit-and-run driver nearly gave me a coronary. My favorite video was about the adult who got creamed while riding his bike! I'll bet that bicyclist drives his car the same way he rides his bike.

The semi falling off of the bridge happened in Allen, Texas, USA. The driver was killed instantly, someone had changed lanes into him, I believe.

Best dashcam/crash channel by far. Accept no substitutes. They don't post as often as soon as the others, but when they do, it's all killer no filler. Pretty much every clip in this was incredible. Even the mild ones are good.

@@treblechoirkid I am not completely sure, but the fuel tanks ruptured when it went over the edge, and then when it turned upside down the spilled fuel probably came in contact with the hot exhaust

I'm pretty laid back but that one made me want to do not nice things to the driver. I have a niece and nephew about that age. I'm a not small adult who's nearly been hit in crosswalks before by this sort of driver. There should be a special punishment for drivers like this who endanger children who are doing nothing wrong.

@@jaycee30865 I was thinking something like what they do with cellphones in Arizona if you cause a crash and you are on the phone its like a $500 fine automatically. I have no idea how they set fine prices for something like that though. And while I in no way excuse the driver's behavior, I'm going to add that the parent should have been far more wary of what was basically a blind open lane for a small child. I hope they will be going forward.

Yeah, imagine if their was another car behind, that kid would've been smeared. All because daddy didn't think to look both ways or teach his kids to fear and respect the crosswalk. I've felt that crosswalks are deathtraps, drivers don't pay attention to them and kids think they're "safe" zones. It's a recipe for tragedy.
