iv'e seen this happen at least 3 times on these videos... how high was your co-worker? because I cannot fathom how someone can be THAT clueless, it's not like the truck even drives the same, it's VERY obvious when the bed is up. did he just not care that much? couldn't be bothered to pull a lever?

In Germany a driver left his bed up and managed to run into some power lines, that was his first mistake. He then stepped out of the truck to see what he hit, and that was his last mistake... I don't understand why those trucks don't have an alarm when you start driving it with the bed up! All it takes is a simple switch costing a couple of bucks, or two switches if you want redundancy.

I agree in this case but sometimes on this channel there are some folks that happily crash into a car even if they had plenty of time to break or swerve safely.

If you slow the video down you can clearly see the pole jumped out in front of him. Happens more often than people think.

It happened in Poland a week ago, the seat driver (Gray car) was travelling with his family. The arteon (blue car) was getting mad on how slow was he overtaking. So when the seat ended the overtake, arteon cut him off causing the spinout and the crash. Arteon driver escape and is now wanted with 30k Polish złoty (7-8k us dollars) and 20 years in prison. Ran in to that today (or rather _didn't_ run in to it, fortunately) - but _also_, the _cammer_ was going way too fast for that right turn else how else could he have pushed that other car so far and still managed to continue to the center divider?

@@davidbakin1953 i dont think the cammer was originally intending to turn. the road marks show a forward arrow so i assume its a "forward or turn" lane and it looks like the cammer only started to turn once the other car slammed over into that lane and was probably going to be going straight before the accident. who knows it might not even be america just because the tiktok name ends in us and they dont speak english when they crash

People aren't paying attention. Go ahead, stand next to a busy road and look at people inside their cars. I've frequently counted around half the people driving by using their phones in one way or another. This is why I hate the way some cars make drivers use a touch screen. I saw a woman in a brand new VW rear end a stopped heavy work van at a red light, she wandered into his lane at about 30mph. The front of her car was completely ripped off with the engine laying on the road. She had a baby in the back seat too, luckily the kid was in a safety seat.

If you hit the breaks in the wrong time you risk sliding or going off the road.

@@KownKR7 It's literally illegal in my country. It might be legal elsewhere, but it's one of those laws that genuinely make sense, so I'd expect it to be mostly universal.

It's illegal, or at least strongly discouraged, because it's dangerous. It takes longer to pass, all the while you're in the incoming lane, and you can't see as clearly around a second or third vehicle. So just don't do it. That said, truck needs to be charged with something.
