He Did change his playing style, though. He became more direct in attack. Less time on the ball, more direct passing, fewer tricks. He also had to work more on defense. He got better, more efficient. I’ve Never heard anyone say Ronaldo failed to deliver at Juve. He did that - individually. What plenty of people saw, and What even players like Chiellini, Bonucci and Buffon has said is that they played less as a team and more for him. I agree with that 100%. No one should expect Ronaldo to carry the team alone but he more or less asked the club to. He refused to play as a number nine when both Allegri and Sarri asked him to, making them unable to play the way they wanted. He scored ONE free kick in three seasons when Juve had both Dybala and Pjanic who are deadly on set pieces. And most importantly - players wasted Good oppertunites for themself or each other over and over looking for Ronaldo rather than finishing on their own as he was the obvious star. It’s not as simple as saying Juve collapsed after he left too. Sources near the club say the club expected him to stay for his last Year since he’d failed to secure A move that late of the window. He left after the first game of the season and the club had no time to find a replacement. After A shaky start the club has the longest unbeaten run in Europe since november and Vlahovic has replaced him. Not only has the Serb scored 5 goals in 6 games. Unlike Ronaldo he’s actually making the players around him play better. Now the club’s playing as a team again and Vlahovic is making it easy for Allegri to use the style of play he wants. Is he a better player than prime Ronaldo? Of course not, but this version of Vlahovic is a much better fit at Juve than What Ronaldo past his first season at Juve was.

Ronaldo's decline was like a car driving off a cliff. I thought he could maintain his performance even though he clearly wasnt the same, but Ronaldo has a lot of problems. His playstyle is dependent on crosses and passes inside the box, and when he doesn't receive the ball he's ineffective. Plus as his acceleration and athleticism decreased, so has his play. He's unable to dribble past 1 player and whenever he's pressed he just passes it back or gives it away. He's finished but I can see him playing well in the Portugese or Saudi league

I think the real argument when people say "Ronaldo ruined Juventus" is that before he came, they were great UCL contenders and consistent series A winners, with Ronaldo they didn't particularly do much better than they were already and if anything, just became dependent on Ronaldo, and when he left it left them in a worse condition than they were in before. I'm not saying I hold this perspective, but I think its important to have this clarity.
