16:22, Interesting solution I came to, have the rails be placed on top of the redstone blocks and use the same breaking system, that way you don’t need a second bridging setup.

1. Break the block under the rail - 1 block away. 2. Place a redstone block in the now empty spot 3. Place a rail ontop of the newly-created redstone block. 4. Pick up the rail using the plough 5. Drill the redstone block 6. Optionally, place a bridging block in the now empty hole.

You learned the biggest help of create mine art contraptions at the end. You can pick them up and place them back on a rail with an unpowered assembler to work on it again without having to break the whole thing down. I continue to be amazed at your perseverance. I would have gone away in disgust multiple times if I had to break down the whole contraption and rebuild it every time something got messed up.

9:00 Mechanical pistons (and other things that need SU) work "just like that" on moving contraptions. Im not sure how pistons would work in a contraption, but AFAIK they should, someone correct me if i am wrong EDIT: why don't you pick up your contraption with the wrench? I know you know that works :D and then just place it down where you buildit, so that you don't need to reposition the drills you forgot earlier? also my condolences about that creeper blast, that must've been frustrating :(

You are right, but i think he would run into timing issues as they are automatic when on contraptions. With vanilla pistons he can control exact timings (with exclusion of buggy behaviour). I think that's the main reason. Correct me if im wrong as well :)

*IDEA* Man, I understood an easy way of getting raw stone. Just attach sticky pistons to the raw stone and let it take them out one by one. You can use create sticky pistons and mine them every time they get into your hands. So, there be lots of 1-block-width holes, you just need them to not to touch each other.

I believe instead of using a redstone block, you could just use torches and then use the same block that grabs up the rails to grab back the redstone torches. Although you would still need to make sure that there always is a block to place the redstone torch just like with the rails. But that should actually increase the speed of the contraption.

I think an create scematic can make sure, that the deployer places the pistons facing the right way. Like in Litmatica you can scan an area of blocks and create holograms. Normally you can then load an scematic cannon that places the blocks for you, but an deployer should work also. And again I think the rotation of blocks in the schematic should be taken into account when placing edit: maybe it would be easier, when you instead of building a complex tunnel bore, you move a chunk of blocks with a mechanical piston or so towards a staionary machine
