Immaculate is literally so much better than the nun movies

I kind of wish we knew more of her backstory, because as much as I loved the movie, I was worried she would be victimized a lot more. The fact she was standing up for herself made is so powerful.

Been hearing a lot of good things about this movie, as well as Late Night With the Devil. It sounds like they're finally starting to release the higher quality horror films this year. Glad to hear it.

I really appreciated Cecelia in act 3, I love a protagonist that takes action. I did think the chase scene went on a tad too long. And although my morbid curiosity wants to see the baby/creature, I think it was better that they just showed us it out of focus in the background.

Just watched it. The ending was nuts. Loved the cinematography.

I feel like this movie will be better received than the first omen when that comes out next week.

Agree with you 100%! Walked in with no high expectations but was pleasantly surprised with how entertaining it was. I was hooked and so glad a movie with a religious theme did not rely entirely on the usual cliches.

I really enjoyed it. No t much of a horror watcher but was out one day and decided to watch it without knowing anything about it before hand or watching the trailer. So I was pleasantly surprised where it went, was almost teased in the first half into thinking it's just another horror film but the second half was really enjoyable.

7:20 is there anything like a disturbing baby scene? I seen in the trailer she was pregnant. I wanna check this out but I don’t wanna see anything like that.

That ending... wow. I was a tad bored through a part of the movie but that ending made it worth it...

I super enjoyed this for the most part, the one thing I did however repeatedly scream at the TV throughout was "If this is true why haven't the Vatican showed up?!" My Catholic school education was both tickled and irked by this film 😂 overall very fun though

This felt like a catholic based Midsomar. It’s no Hellhole (the best religious based horror of the last 20 years) but it certainly was a good entry into the genre.

I had a hard time being convinced i even needed to finish Immaculate because I was just like yeah yeah yeah I've seen all of this before. When he says gloves off, that's such a great way to out it. They didn't bend in the face of sacrilege, I'll say that much. And not the possessed by a demon kind, I mean the total release of Christian morality. I wish it was a little better executed but since I certainly couldn't execute it any better, I've got to be careful with my takes (especially surrounding very decent movies) 😅

immaculate is actually a great idea, good story plot & didn't went outside of it too much, it's just we kept on seeing sydney every second possible, some plotholes (the beginning, the elderly sick nuns & how did it happened), sydney is definitely an actress & one of the scream queens of our time ngl.

I genuinely cannot for the life of me understand why anyone thinks the ending to this film is crazy. Not saying it's bad, but it feels incredibly safe. Narratively the film just feels like a series of things happening, half of which are kind of unnecessary. And good lord is the subplot about the nail dumb as absolute hell.

I don't know what channel I was on (it was the trailer I know that much for sure) but the comments were FILLED with comments about the lead actress being very "ample breasted" and that's why she got the role and previous roles saying things like she couldn't act but her "co-stars" helped her to be tolerable etc.

Just good horrifying scenes does not make a good movie. It is seriously in need of better characterization, plot and script. The basic premise or setting is not believable (even if you want to be a nun, you go to Italy and does not know the language?) We know nothing about the main or other characters (where are Cecilia's relatives and friends?) The motivation of characters is lacking (what do they intend to do if they get "her" child?) I like religious horror movies when they raise questions about faith, religion, etc. that made you think. This is not to be found in this film, and it is partly for this reason that some people find the ending "crazy" or shocking.

‘Immaculate’ felt like it was made by wannabe edge lords just trying to shock….but it wasn’t all that shocking and didn’t have much of a pay off.

Immaculate was better than the Shite known as The First Omen. Faster pace higher body count and bloody and doesn't drag and gets to the point. First Omen was disappointing and trash imo

Its a trite, boring, predictable as hell remix of things you've seen in a dozen far better films. It goes for 'shock' at the end, but fails miserably. Really, it's the most logical ending. Sweeney is a crap actress. She really couldn't carry the water this role required of her. It's a crap movie. Save your money.

This movie sucked… and Sweeney has been on a role lately being in terrible movies.
