The king doesn't investigate it further because he sees this as fate more or less. He understands that the fact that Pouf and Youpi keeping a secret while oozing pure loyalty must mean the memory could be a negative effect on him. But if he remembers on his own, without winning the game, then he was bound to sooner or later so he might as well do it and get it over with, also seeing how that's giving him a headache. He is obviously in favor of remembering everything, but he knows Pouf and Youpi truly want the best for him so he gives them a chance to filter what they don't want the King to remember, each of the 2 scenarios could turn out better than the other in the long run.

@@jebz.157 I guess that depends on what kind of blind she is, but I'm under the impression she is completely blind but I don't know if that was ever addressed by the author anywhere. So fair enough if she isn't I guess but even still she was knocked unconscious which means she's insensible anyway and I'd want the light on anyway in the event I felt I needed to try to grab her and run away again quickly. But you are correct, I had not considered that most blind people are not completely blind because I got the impression she was from the show.

@@poppatato4183 Ah no, I do actually like Pouf as a character, that was more just me messing around than anything. Pitou's stance on Meruem+Komugi alone is enough for me to like her more- that's my own personal bias, but I have no actual issue with Pouf's existence as a character at all. Thank you for the vid link though, I'll probably watch it just for the hell of it when I get the chance.

i think you are not looking at the deeper aspetcs of the guards, their representation and display of loyalty is one of the best written i've seen, at the point of the figth between Pitou and Gon they were not really lock in one been villain an the other hero or the other way around, as nasty as even pouf might seem, remember they are not "bad" they are just from another specie and act in the betterment of it, from their point of view the hunter infiltration team are the villains and pouf migth not seem loyal to meruem DESIRES but also at this point he is become less of a king and more of an individual and Pouf job is helping him be the best king an theres were conflict rises.

To be fair, I didn't think much about the guards deeper aspects until watching some HxH youtube videos talking about them. While I didn't hate them, I did appreciate them a lot more after viewing the videos.

You're there all wishing that Pitou is dead while at the same time being annoyed at Pouf's machinations to separate the King and Komugi but if Pitou was there she would have put a stop to this bullshit before the contest started xD And most likely even if the King had ordered her to shut-up so that he and Pouf could have this contest, she might have disobeyed him.

I really love your reactions of HXH serie they are one of the best I I've seen in KZfaq. One thing you missed out this chapter I thinks It's the fact the king is changing each time more and more That is the reason because He accepted Pouf's challenge because He is like more empathic .

I am always found of comparisons, Meruem after he absorbs the powers of his royal guards is the strongest being we've seen in HxH (well, technically). Let's just say that if the Phantom Troupe were to face him, they'd all be wiped out probably in less than a few seconds. Gon was compared to the old Meruem when Neferpitou said that.

The HxH anxiety and frustration is what makes some episodes SO great. 131 wouldn't be as good without AAAAALLLL the insanely long buildup. And for me the episode that benefits the most of that is my favorite one, 135, that you already saw so I'm gonna wait patiently for that reaction :)
