Shipping is one of my most find ways of dissecting characters and character interactions. Looking at who they are and what they want vs their needs then mashing them up with other characters and finding which pair you're most fond of. Plus it's a fun way of trying to pick apart what makes a romance tick as it can vary from person to person and from show to show. Side note: Great video and editing btw. Glad to see another kindred bleach romance critic. Kubo was not cooking with that Ichihime pairing.

Great video of "Shipping" cause honestly like you said even in full fledge romances most of the times not really shown much except on the what ifs and when the time comes it'll usually be the "It's an happy ending and so they live happily ever after that and that's all you need to know" Which sucks. But at least in that regards they're not the worst offender in that kind of romance or the other types *cough* Rent a Gf *cough* Miraculous Ladybug *cough* with out of the way tho at atleast there's an bright future ahead one of the best examples is Danger's in my heart which is I didn't expect for it to be a banger heck this might be an spoiler alert but even the author using her characters made fun of such thing and because I'm somewhat updated to that series it's been a fresh of breath air especially in terms of being an Middle School Romance. Not saying the other kinds of romance sucks it's just that in every other romances there's something missing in a sense if that makes sense and sometimes like no offense to shikimori but will just be boring.

I used to be into shipping because I thought it's something you had to do to be a true devoted fan of something, but really, I never cared that much. Part of it's just me. If romance is the main focus of the story and the creators put in the effort to make us care, then, sure, I can get behind that, but if they're throwing in romance as a side thing in a story that's mostly about something else, most of the time I'll get bored and become eager to get back to the main plot. I understand the appeal behind shipping, though. I think a lot of it comes about because canon relationships in mainstream media are often really really boring, frequently either (a) pairing up the two leads just because they're there or (b) inventing lame new side characters who only exist to serve as love interests.
