You know what? I'm gonna say it. Marinette and Adrien are not in love. The simply aren't. Marinette did no fall in love with Adrien at the end of Origins Pt. 2. You know why? BECAUSE THAT IS NOT HOW LOVE WORKS! To genuinely love someone you have to spend time with them to get to know them, you have to build a bond with them, you have to connect with them through sharing experiences. YOU CANNOT LOVE SOMEONE JUST BECAUSE THEY WERE NICE TO YOU. You need to be with the other person and get to know them! Marinette barely knows anything about Adrien for the majority of the show! She claims she is in love with him, but Adrien himself has expresed he does not feel like himself, almost like he's putting on a show!. And the worst thing is that Marinette is in love with that side of him, the same side that is as fake as plastic. Same goes to Adrien (or, well, Cat Noir for the matter)! You are not in love with Ladybug, wanna know why? BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW HER! You know the side of her that is a superhero, always confident, smart and "understanding", but what about the real Mainette? The clumsy, artistic, with stalkerish behaviours and insecure as fuck? And if you really loved her, you'd understand that she doesn't want to persue a romantic relationship with you and you'd be okay with that! YOU'D RESPECT HER BOUNDERIES AND FEELINGS! But oh, boo-hoo, the "love of my life" has rejected my after my 213th try of getting her to be my girlfriend! Maybe if I try again she'll see that I love her and that I deserve a romantic relationship between us! I'm the real victim here, right guys? Plus, I don't wanna be all like "They are kids! They don't know what love feels like", but in this case it's kinda true. They are like, what, 13 when they first claim to be in love? Honey, that's called having a crush. This is not love. This is infatuation at best and obsession at worst.

My MC had 3 friends(who were based on 2 of my childhood friends and one of my highschool friends). However in the story, they were just meant to be trauma triggers for my MC’s story path. Will I add irl people that I personally know and care(d) about to future stories? Ehh 🤷🏻‍♀️ probably not. Cause I think that I may have a “curse” about it. All three of the people the characters are based off of, I’ve “lost”. No no not di3d. One tried to hurt me(and was a manipulator), one left when I was young(and was also a bit of a manipulator), and the other we parted ways on semi bad terms. So I jokingly think that writing friends into my stories would “curse” us into being unable to be friends anymore. So I don’t risk it anymore.

But after season2, the show felt like it went on far too long with its build up, and I felt like they will never come to their conclusion they’ve been teasing us every time. Until I finally gave up at season4 And knowing what it could have been, like when it was once planned as an 2D anime, makes me resent the show we ultimately have even more

Yeah, I was very excited for Inazuma when it was announced, but during it, I was pretty disappointed. All it did was talk, talk, talk, and never show. And the whole reading and no voice part pissed me off during world quests. If I want to read, I'd pick up a book, not play a game, so whenever I do a quest, I just don't pay attention, especially when they won't stop talking. Raiden Shogun is my favorite character, I want to know a lot about her, but I am not reading a bunch of texts about her. I want a cutscene or her and maybe Miko talking about her background. I loved her 2nd story quest because it talked about her and she had to talk about her life.

The fountain archon quest was such a waste, having a past archon could have helped loads, and we could have had more information about egeria, the only thing that i liked was going into a lil more detail about the sovereigns, the only quests that give any deeper understanding of the lore are the ones with dain, and no, i won't play 500 quests with boring npc's to get a book that tells me a bit more about the lore without actually connecting to it, not only that but genshin is pretty much half way through the "story" what is happening? Why the progress us so slow, are they really going to cramp all the important parts in the "probable" kahenria region? If the quests were more like the caribert one, genshin would be a 100% better than now, and the lacking events, and the story wise useless characters, genshin seems like it's lost it's story line, when are the hexenzirkle, the fatui, and celestia story lines going to connect with the main story? When are we going to see more of the other sibling's pov? What the fuck is paimon? Why is it so slow? How old is albedo? Does he know anything about the past, what is klee? And alice, alice's character as a whole could be such an asset story wise, why are there so many cool characters and possible story lines that are never getting used?

While I was personally never bothered by the Lion Turtle plot device, the other flaws definitely irritated me and it’s more or less the reason why I prefer the season two finale (I also ADORE the underground city setting, it’s my personal favorite location in the series). If anything, I always a lot more frustrated by the fact that the gang (kinda) disregards the Water Tribe Navy as ineffective after the fall of the Earth Kingdom.

The only reason I still invest myself in these characters is the fanbase and fan content. Literally anything the fans create is ten times better than the actual canon.

yeah when you look into it, it might seem disappointing, but if you just take it for what it is, you have one of if not the most coolest scenes in all of avatar. And also, ang didn't lie about killing he just forgot, tell me that you believe that he would or the writers would remember small and forgettable time that happened like a year ago where he killed a large unliked bug to save his pet friend whilst in an emotional angry state

I agree with the sentiment, especially because the introduction of energy bending basically robbed the stakes of the final confrontation. As soon as that scene with the lion turtle happened, I knew that Aang was going to win and he wasn't going to have to kill Ozai. I didnt know how but I knew he wasnt losing.

The thing about the energy bending being a deus ex machina is that when the show was originally airing, we were left with ‘before we bend the elements, we bend the energy within ourselves’. Nothing and no one would’ve gotten to a conclusion he’ll use this knowledge to take away the fire lord’s bending. Even so, the risk of Aang being corrupted in that moment he used energy bending was executed well. This conclusion was possible only in hindsight.

I don't like deliberately being a hater, but I clicked on this just to dislike it. The show is wholly perfect and I will tolerate NO slander.

I feel like what could have been energy bending more better way to show it If it was the true power of the Avatar state. Just saying The Avatar can bend all 4 elements So why not give or take those elements away from others. They could have made a episode about it or Ancient avatar spirit comes to speak to aang about it and help him train him to use it before the final battle

I actually wrote an entire AP Lit and Comp test essay about this topic and that for an amazing and well thought out show the finale felt cheap and contrived. In no media is the introduction of a deus ex machina a good idea, it is always cheap, and it is in definition an invalidating aspect of your story. Aang got everything he wanted but it didn't feel earned, he just happened to stumble on to a lion turtle who just happened to give him an out of his current dilemma. That is really disappointing for what that show was and is. I would've preferred that in the end the energy bending had consequences. Like the idea of karma that to commit this act of taking from another you must also release your own bending. That would've made it more of a compelling and earned end to the story or taking the lion turtle out and forcing Aang to fight the firelord. I know that Nickolodeon couldn't have Aang kill Ozai on the silver screen but something should've been done to earn that happy scene at the end. It's sad that in a show that is as amazing as atla is they had to end it in such a low place.

Honestly I'd say that is the only part that bothered me outside of that is the end to Zuko vs Azula (althought I kinda like how he gets the moral victory).

My issues with ATLA finale (not ranked, just in the order I remembered them lol): A) energy bending felt like an unnecessary deus ex machina. It came out of nowhere. And it wasn't even needed. Aang already won with the avatar state. He can just capture and arrest Ozai. B) the rock that gives Aang back the avatar state. I call it deus ex rockina. It's just a convoluted plot device. Toph could have hit his back with a rock any day. Yet of course, this one rock gives Aang back the avatar state in the finale. Right. C) Zuko not taking down Azula on his own, but Katara getting the "final blow" instead. I felt like this was a Zuko moment and it was given to Katara for some reason. I think Katara should have had her own fight here (like against the southern raider who killed her mom). This fight was about Azula and Zuko, and I think it should have remained as such. D) the final scene being a Kataang kiss. Aang and Katara didn't speak since ember island players. They NEVER solved their issues. Katara said she wanted more time and space to think, she said she was confused, they fight, they don't speak again, and they are somehow (?) kissing in the final scene?! It feels like Bryke gave Katara to Aang as a prize for winning against Ozai. Very disrespectful to Katara that she was never given proper closure of a true conversation with Aang post ember island players. I don't need or want Zutara, but this Kataang kiss was incredibly disrespectful as it never showed conflict resolution from a few episodes ago. E) This is nitpicking but I truly could have done without Sokka and Toph taunting Ozai post fight. Again, this felt kinda disrespectful to the audience. It also makes the whole final battle feel worse when the villain isn't given proper respect after defeat. Also made the whole episode and scene feel less mature, too. Imagine if in Harry Potter, they said Voldemort was the dark Lord of getting his butt kicked. Yeah, that would feel immature and out of place, too.

Let us not forget Aang could not access the Avatar State due to locked Chakra... But then he hit a rock where Azula burnt him and suddenly that wasn't a problem? Don't get me wrong, I don't see any way Aang could beat Ozai without the Deus Ex State, but a better explanation to its unlocking was also due.
