i totally agree, i have one player that has a whole meh attitude with anything that happens to them. as I play V2 the Malks still have dementation and had their minds screwed with they just completely shurged it off, of course my other players played it beautifully and jumped into their cheaters delimas with a gusto and they also played standing before the whole of the Primogen with terror whiles this same player just meh'ed it again. frustrating while Annabel's emotional roller coaster is sometimes annoying Erikia's portrayal is wonderful acted, she stay's true to character

Very true. That's because to be frightened of anything in game, you need to care about your character and about the story, which is key for being a good role player. If you don't care and go "whatever, if my character dies I just role up a new one", then you may still be a good tactical board game player (being good at your roleplay system's combat system, maxing out powerful characters etc.) but not a good ROLEplayer. If you care about your character and know the GM handles the story realistic enough that your actions have consequences and the GM won't go out of his way to avoid PC death if the players knowingly make very risky or suicidal decisions, then showing fear and respect for dangerous opponents and situations comes naturally.

It all seems like a bunch of posturing to me. If they had as much power as they pretend then they wouldn't be on the run or trying to recruit such a young coterie. I think the true threat, like possibly the Eastern Kindred and or the real Second Inquisition, has yet to show its face.

They are clearly much older Kindred of lower generation, which means high Blood Potency, allowing them to heal faster and add significant dice to their pools with Blood Surge. Vannevar used Rationalize, which means he at least has Dominate 4, and almost certainly Dominate 5, meaning he could just command any of them to walk into the sun with almost guaranteed success. As an elder Ventrue it also stands to reason he has Fortitude, making him very hard to kill. And that's just what he can do, let alone Strouse, Suzanne, and the Lasombra. It's what I love about Vampire the Masquerade specifically. In games like D&D it can be hard to challenge the players. In Vampire the threat to the PCs can be so significant, their death is almost a given if they don't find a way to get the upper hand.

I have to say, I thought my dislike for chaz was bad. I have three of my own characters who are apart of the camarilla and all of them would want to toss the want to be prince out. Mostly because of the disrespect to the Nosferatu but also, when did toreador start worrying about who your grandsire was? Thought that was a venture thing.

what i like the most is while Bryan is super stoic and doesn't break character at all, Amelia makes an excellent performance you can tell she is enjoying being a player and when using Suzanne's powers you can see the slight bounce of excitement when the dice are being rolled

You are very right about that. Vampire is a very moral game about very immoral monsters, and the corruption, hypocrisy, and manipulation that they engage in is awful. One of the things that I really like about Vampire is how it gives us the chance to look at these things through the lens of the monster, and by examining them in the story try to learn about ourselves and how to be better people. :)

That's always been the rule for Elysium. No overt showing of vampiric powers. Covert use is expected so long as you don't get caught. Be wary of Auspex users. Otherwise a vampire would get nowhere in the social circus of kindred politics.

Yeah. I love AB, but she can be really annoying sometimes, and I feel that the other people she meets are way too patient and accommodating of her passivity. Still, she has consistently maintained her character throughout the story. Also, I think a good GM's job is to allow for multiple solutions to problems, rather than force players into a Hobson's Choice out of respect for realism. Games are supposed to be fun, and forcing people to act against their character's nature or suffer game breaking consequences is not fun. It's a recipe for disaster and the end of the campaign. So kudos to Jason for providing ways of getting around AB's moral qualms.

I mean if she was alive long enough to have any actual connection to Norse folks she'd know they did not have dreads, they had braids. Soooo either all connection to Norse traditions is superficial or she's too young to know the meaning of what she does.

Kind of late to the party, but TO BE FAIR... the guy had the worst dossier entry. Orphan drug mules. Like this isn't just an ideological disagreement. It's not like Annabelle is blood bonding potential allies like the Valkyrae's. She's just blood bonding the kindred that others would see killing as the only option. Annabelle is a pacifist to a fault. Now you don't have to agree with the morals. But I don't think it's valid criticism of her as a character. To me this episode is the crossroads of what she would need to do and become to keep her pacifist ideology.

The more you do it the more powerful the bond up to six times.

Technically speaking one drink can lead to a one step blood bond which is kind of similar to a low level crush. Unless of course you have the V5 flaw of Bond Slave where one drink and you are three steps bound (Max level).

Totally agree also super pumped about the hints Jason Carl has been dropping about Bloodlines 2. He hasn't given details but he has suggested that we're getting LA by Night references in the sequel. Part of me is hoping that Paradox hired the whole cast as the voice talent and everyone we love will be giving us quests as we help the #Vamily

The point is that in the medival times they traced them down using much less.. You can understand technology.. Just dont use it.. Mortals in the World of Darkness possess very few abilities however Technology is 1 of them they collectively completely mastered.. All it takes is 1 wrong move on camera and the entire gig is offer.. Back in the day you could theoratically kill a entire village when exposed at worst and blame it on war or banditry.. These days with the internet it just doesnt work like that.. The line of the masquerade would be extremely thin bordering on completely exposed in the final nights.. Waelkyrige are not exactly the allies a smart Gangrel Anarch like Ramona want to ally themselves. While they are an unaligned and no fans of most Ivory Tower Princes, the Waelkyrige are a Norse War Cult who are essentially a competitor for recruits and territory to the Anarchs. They play the role of kindly Elders, in contrast to the Barons and Princes, but that is a recruiting tool to gather numbers for their own war goals.
