Turn the turbo around and rise the oil return bung up around an inch so the sump oil doesn't block the return pipe, extending the life of the turbo :)

That oil drain is to low needs to be higher on the pan so oil doesn’t sit in the line just better for the turbo just trying to be helpful

Hey Gingium, I don't want to kick the dead horse but the drain is low. Highest as possible is the best since it helps the oil drain back into the pan from gravity. Keep up the good work and I love the fact you are boosting a B-series!

People usually cut the crash bar to put the intercooler higher, because unless it's really that small it will scrape on things. Also isn't that oil drain kinda low on the oil pan ?

@10:30 just turn it the other way? thats how mine is, but i think your manifold is the ac compatible one. and upon further inspection, it seems it is cause the way the downpipe is made.

If you have an issue with the turbo having clearance then you can grind off a little from the block (right under the engine code stamp) and a little off from the casting to the right of it With that turbo kit you can run AC and power steering that's why there's so much space on the right lol Also definitely shouldn't use those cheap gaskets that they include. Either stainless or Copper gasket sealant

The reason why they face the turbo away from the right is because you can actually fit the AC and power steering pump, in some engines there's absolutely no space.

also the manifold is designed like that so you can retain ac and power steering if u so desire. atleast thats how it looks

The turbo is on the wrong side the cold side is to close to the transmission the downpipe wont fit because its on the wrong side and the intercooler piping will get in the way of the downpipe too

The reason the turbo is on that side is because he baught the AC friendly one or it would be on the other side I just don't get one thing no low compression pistons man your brave it will blow up in no time

Pretty sure that oil drain is too low. It should be almost at the highest point on the pan, you don't want oil getting backed up in it.

Can someone give me some pointers/req. parts to do the b18 swap? I am about to buy a b18b1 from a 00 integra, and use the engine, harness, and exu on my stock 97 hatchback with a d16y7 in it now. It's a 5spd, and I do plan to turbo it. But I also would like to send the block off and have it bored out, if there is a recommendation for that I'd appreciate that, I was just thinking of .0040 over, and just have it fully gone through and rebuilt with forged internals, and arp bolts/studs. As far as I know from what I've read, the harness will work with a couple things moved/omitted, and the motor mounts seem to be the same. I read that a vtec b18 del sol radiator is recommended as it has 2 coolers but otherwise the same dimension and bolts right in. I would also appreciate some injector recommendations, I've been leaning towards I believe 500? I also saw 440 being used. Just any advice, direction, pieces and parts would be greatly appreciated. This will be my first honda build ever.

If those were the eBay studs for the manifold, take them out asap and replace with some from a parts store. They're super soft and will break in no time.... (Edit- saw you guys got other ones)
