Thanks for this tutorial. Worked great on my ‘06 Tundra! My mechanic, who assisted me, was impressed with the simplicity of this method.

Thanks for the real world video. Bc most of us don’t have lifts in our driveways and have to do stuff the old school method. So thank you for this video bc I’m wanting to install these on my Colorado.

This method worked great for what I needed to do! Mechanic put one block backwards and caused a major vibration and got it flipped around in no time doing it this way at home. Thank you kindly for posting!!!

I’ll be installing a 1” block on my 2020 frontier as soon as USPS shows up, and this video gave me the confidence I needed to take on the task. Thank you, brotha. Great video!

Word of advice. I did this and it absolutely worked! However, engage the parking brake and go easy with the floor jack. Lifting the leaf spring will cause it to Misalign. Easily lift the jack EASY. Once you start lifting the leaf spring, try your best to keep an eye on the little butt that’s going to sit on the lift block. I recommend 2 people. Just be careful lifting the spring and aligning it. It took about an hour and a half. This video definitely helped!

it sits nice now with that 1inch block, maybe get the chrome vinal wrapped with the same colour as the front grill or the rim's if there is a place close to you that does car wrap

Nice. I de-chromed my 08 Tundra with Plasti Dip. Much cheaper than buying the bumper covers. My truck is about same color as one in this video. It’s been about 1 year since dip, no big problems just a little touchup here and there for some rock chipping.

Will the leaf spring fall into place with the holes with a 3" block? You dont think I will have trouble and I'll have to move the wheel around without dropping the whole rear end?

If I install this with stock shocks will I need longer shocks?
@everynameistaken567 Жыл бұрын
You left out the hardest part which is when the leaf spring inevitably doesn't line up with the pins in the block. That has happened to me on any truck I've done this job on. Then you have to muscle the axle around to get it to line up which you wouldn't have been able to do with the tires still on the truck.
@shinigami7891 Жыл бұрын
Dont put the chocks directly against the wheel you are working on when you start, but do put more chocks on the otherside. Put the chocks on the side you a working on very close, but not against. This will allow you to be able to wiggle the wheel ever so slightly in either direction to get it to line up Lower the truck onto the block just enough that it begins to apply pressure, then when you wiggle the wheel you should hear the peg pop in
