In this cooking basics video, learn how to make perfect corn on the cob in just a few minutes in the microwave. There is not shucking and hardly any silks to deal with. It is one of my favorite ways to cook corn on the cob especially if I am just making 1 or 2 ears of corn.

Panasonic makes the best microwaves, I have one just like yours and love it. I love cooking corn this way!

I have had mine for quite some time, love it!! Yeah it is so easy especially if you just want a couple of ears of corn cooked fast.

@@inthekitchenwithmatt I just found out that you have another corn on the cob video on your channel from a few years ago. I notice that sometimes, you tend to repeat a recipe on your channel twice, but it’s not uncommon for recipe creators to post the same recipe twice on his or her channel.

What if there are worms under the shuck?

That may happen if you grow them yourself, but there shouldn't be any worms with mass grown store bought corn. With that said, if there are worms they will get nuked, when you pull off the shuck if you see dead worms then you can decide if you want to still eat the corn or not. I have never had any problem with any insects or worms in my corn. But then again that is probably because all the pesticides that are used haha.

Where's your little plastic corn cob "looking" skewers to stick in each end or the cob to hold when you eating it? Never done fresh corn in the microwave, always bought the frozen short cobs to microwave in a plastic microwave container with a couple drops of water at work for lunch, always thawed my corn cob in the refrigerator overnight to before taking it to work. Believe about 60 to 90 seconds, think the frozen corn is already semi cooked plus I like my corn a little underdone & crunchy than mushy. Added butter, salt & pepper after microwaving it.

@@inthekitchenwithmatt True but the cob was hot after cooking & you was trying to hold the hot corn cob with your fingers!

@@casey6518 you can use a hot mitt if desired for that or use tongs to pull it out. The shake method works the best in my opinion.
