In my books, Si = Memory, routine, single-minded Se = Experience, spontaneity, multi-faceted Se keeps you from running into walls by saying that "there's a wall in front of you now!" Si keeps you from running into walls by saying that "hey I remember a few years ago you ran into this wall. don't do it again!" So if you're wondering why intuitive types have significantly more bruises, S nonpreferrence is why. :)

Have you considered doing videos about the functions by axes pairs? - Se/Ni vs Ne/Si - Te/Fi vs Fe/Ti ?

I'm Si, and i am really good at skin care, and drinking water, and yes i do look younger and healthy. So that's bit is right for me. I don't feel so stuck in my ways though, i also like to try new things, even if it's just once to try it out.

My mother mom is an SiFe (good old reliable retired nurse ISFJ), and AUGH we drive each other NUTS sometimes. She is so obstinate and bound and determined to 😑 ANY IDEAS I GIVE HER. I mean, God bless her, she’s a lousy cook. But, me? Her INFP daughter who loves to cook and experiment with many dishes? Yeah, I’m a kickass cook. I told her adding feta cheese to her manicotti dish would really bring out the flavor, AND YOU WOULD NOT BEEELIEEEVE what it took to convince her of that. JUST THE CHEESE. Oh, my lanta… THIRTY MINUTES. That’s how long it took me. 😭😭😭😭😭

At first glance, that looks most like ISFJ. But keep on taking different tests and studying the cognitive functions more if you're still unsure.

Yep, I have my own routine and like to see on what already worked. And I often try to reinvent the wheel, but I think that on a Ne way.

Thanks for the video! Love your content. This video has finally clarified se/ne for me. (I know, that isn't exactly the topic). But know I can see, SE is all about new things. NE is all about new ideas. I LOVE to learn, ideas, people, cultures. Doesn't matter. I want to learn it all. But new things, not so much. I think that solidifies my type. So from this very shy ENFP, (who debated endlessly if I was an ENFP or INFP due to being such a shy person) thank you.

Not learning from the past, or not thinking a step forward (what will be the consequence if I ...) is not only a problem of SP types, also of ENxJ. Last year, I met a very smart ENFJ but he behaved in such a chaotic way that I ended up very disappointed. (ENFP view.)

now i know i have Si in my cognitive function set i also know now its not very high on said function set but since i relate to Se also to some extend, therefore likely not being my blindspot function, (and i know pretty sure i have Ti, Ne and Fe) so im most likely entp, i guess? i always though i was intp. i relate to intp memes so badly, am socially probably more on the introverted side with most groups, and im not intp. guess thats how the cookie crumbles. i am autistic though, so some of the social introversion could probably come from there, and when i was younger i was more social, so i guess entp still makes sense with that logic.

I am ENFP-T with neurodivergency, and I am heavily withdrawn from humans. I like being approached, and be around people, but not to make first move myself. I am considered extrovert because my needs for gaining NE, are stronger than my identification of self through FI. With MBTI, especially Intuitive ones being E is less about stereotypical "social extroverts", and more about which functions is leading. Very possibly You are ENTP from description. INTP'S are most stereotypically introverted type from my experiences, who mostly process in silence inside head, and one with spectrum would be even more withdrawn, and less prone for unveiling their doubts.

I find it hard to distinguish Se from Ne sometimes. Ne seems to be searching for new ideas as well.
@UrWeid
@UrWeid 7 ай бұрын
It's really not hard, I'd never mistake myself for a Se user, lol. You just look at their physical skillset, do they move in a relaxed and natural way, actively and smoothly - if yes, they have high sensory functions. Plus you look if they are interested in theoretical stuff, like really abstract and big picture things, if not really or not al all they are sensors for sure. Ne is all about new ideas. Se new experiences not ideas.
@kyurei4478
@kyurei4478 7 ай бұрын
Well, good for you. But it's not as easy when you're not one or the other lol. People with a high sensory function don't necessarily act in a relaxed way. They're also very energetic people just like Ne users can appear from the outside. Although I'll admit Ne users will generally be more talkative. You say to look if they are interested in theoretical stuff as if you could tell from the get-go lol. I agree with you on the principle, you're right but it's not as obvious as it seems. Also, you could confuse an ST for a Ne sometimes for example cause they'll be a bit into theoretical stuff as well. I know how to detect them in theory but in practice it's much more different. The line to draw between new ideas and new experiences is not as clear as you make it look like because Ne users can want to experiment with many of their new ideas. It's not like Ni users who will think about many things but will only do a few of them.
@UrWeid
@UrWeid 7 ай бұрын
@@kyurei4478 it's really easy for me and not just cause I'm an Ne dom. You can easily spot Se dom by their looks and behaviour. If you want one more test you can give them a highly abstract idea and see how they respond to it. Ideas and real experiences and real life focused actions are really distinct. The way you try to make it look like a difficult thing makes me think you are an F user.
@kyurei4478
@kyurei4478 7 ай бұрын
@@UrWeid It seriously isn't for me. Being a Ne dom certainly has a role to play in this. It's really not that easy to spot them just because of look and behavior I can assure you. Ne dom can tend to act in a similar energetic way from the outside. You can give an abstract idea but again, it's not like you can ask it to anybody just like that. An ST might also give you a fairly detailed logical answer to it. Ideas and experiences just aren't so distinct in actuality in practice from the moment someone enjoys doing it for real and does so. Whether I would be an F user or not doesn't really have anything to do with the matter. F users are as capable as any other type of user. If some types don't find it particularly easy it just actually isn't necessarily by default. Unless you're a Ne user or Se user it's just not as simple as you make it look like. But in the same way, the fact you make it look that easy in practice makes me believe you're indeed a Ne user specifically.

I like your style of explaining things. However, these definitions of cognitive functions are confused and don't articulate the salient differences in approach towards the material world, which is what Si vs Se should be doing. Not your fault at all. With MBTI and jungian cognitive function stuff found online, you've got poor raw material to work with. Now if you were using the TRUE definitions, as set out in Socionics, you'd be unstoppable.
