I totally disagree with your take. First of all, their (Iowa) is extremely important. She could've said stuff like: you make sure you get out there Sunday and finish the job or none of this win doesn't count! (that puts pressure on players). You say any coach with Caitlin would've won? not neccessariy true. You can have a great player, but not know how to utilize them correctly. As a coach you have to be able to manage their minutes (so you don't burn them out), you have to come up with a game plan which keeps other players involved so there's no in-fighting etc... Don't under estimate how good this coach is

She is a 5th year Senior, you cant leave a player with that type of history wide open, and that's what Clark did. All the bench players that hit threes were guard by Caitlin Clark, and all of them Last-Tear Pao scored a three, she shoots 43% from the 3Pt line, you cant leave her open, she hit 6 threes to win the Junior College Championship as a fresh last year, Kateri Poole hit a wide open three off Clark, she shoots 45% from the three point line, you cant let players like that shoot wide open threes, they are going to make them. That is why Iowa loss, Clark doesn't play defense on the perimeter. That has been her greatest weakness. DEFENSE. Finally, Alexis Morris was matching Clark basket for basket, Morris was hitting twos, and Clark threes, but Morris doing it was a 17 pts lead. Iowa had 20 fouls called against them, LSU had 21. The calls were even and consistent. The Refs are not to blame, the Refs are not shooting the balls into the basket, the players are. LSU scored more field goals than Iowa. Its just that simple. Iowa beat SC, and you and others that look like you wanted them to do the same against LSU, race played a part in your opinion, you didn't get a chance to brag about how White Caitlin Clark and Iowa beat a Black Angel Reese and LSU. Instead, u were left with the reality, that LSU was the better team. Its not the first time Reese played against Clark, last year when Reese was with Maryland, they blew out Iowa and Reese had a double-double, she was unstoppable. Had u and the Iowa coaches scouted LSU correctly, then the result would have been different. That technical on CC was crap, they called a warning on Bluder for having the toe of her shoe on the line, but yet Mulkey walked onto the court at least 10 times and stalked after a ref to plead her case for something and nothing happened to her. Plus AR should have gotten called for elbowing Czinano, it was CLEARLY intentional. Yeah they reviewed it (for all of 2 minutes) when it takes DECENT refs 5-10 minutes AT LEAST to make sure rule fairly. It was VERY clear which side their bread was buttered on. The Refs know Clark, you don't. I was there on the sidelines and clearly saw the Ref ask Clark for the ball, and Clark "sneakily" threw it out of bounds. As far as next year, Czinano and Warnock will be a hard talent to replace. Indiana, Ohio State, and Maryland are three big Ten teams that have been a constant threat to Iowa, LSU and SC both come back with a strong team, and UConn with Paige Beckers will be there as well. Im not in la la land, the final box score clearly shows LSU shot Iowa out of the game, all while LSU's best players were on the bench. LSU's bench scoring was impressive. You are a sore loser, give credit where it is due. LSU was the better team. They play next season, I have LSU plus 10 or more. cant win with just one player shooting. Clark is good player, I love her game, I hope she continues to be successful. If she comes out as gay, or takes any photos with a boyfriend that is not white, then interest in her will go away much like it did with Sue Bird, Diana Taurasi, Candance Parker, Britney Griner, and all the rest.
