How much Lucas Oil Stabilizer is too much and can it hurt your engine? Yes, it can actually increase the oil pressure inside of your engine so it blows the seals and the oil starts leaking. This was the case on the car in the video.

Them 2.4 blow rear seals bc water builds up in them and ice blocks vents that blow the seals not Lucas. Happens to most builds of the 2.4.

I put 5 qts 5 -30 and one qt Lucas. 2 weeks ago. Temp in my area is now 80-87. A couple of days ago my Jeep 4.0 started miss firing and showed a P0203 #3 cylinder injector circuit open. Do you think because of excessive oil and thickness is why the miss firing??

That has nothing to do with your misfire what so ever. Anyone that claims that this stuff Go to project farm he runs a predator on it then drains it and it runs forever without any lucas in it outlasting stp by a lot. stuff does work. The 4.2 liter 87 wrangler I had with the straight 6 heck I ran prolly 3/4ths lucas and the rest oil. It didn't like it much in the cold cold but I ran that stuff in my auto trans and my motor and it only helped this issues I had. Motor was out of an old AMC eagle ran tranmission fluid first through the junkyard motor to clean it up then a lucas oil blend she was good for 100k np.

My car 2015 scion xb I drive independent and car burns oil alot why. I change oil and 2 weeks no oil in dip stick.. No engine light on

If you have 2.4 liter Toyota engine then it's "normal" becaue that generation of engines Toyota effed up by putting thin piston rings and that's why those engines burn oil. Keep adding oil and don't worry too much.

Bump up your viscosity from 5w20 to 5w30, etc. Start at 10 % lucas, then 15%, 20% as needed. If you did not overfill you can always add a quarter or half a liter.. People who go right to 20% are not doing it right..

I put a full qt Lucas stabilizer with 5w-30 in my IL6. So cal weather 87°. Am I safe?

Probably overfilled. Instead of REPLACING a quart of oil with the Lucas, someone added the quart of Lucas ON TOP OF the regular oil capacity. Too high a viscosity would cause other problems. Too much oil would cause excessive pressure.
