I'm Finnish amd my other Finnish friends name is Sean. He has many stories of teacher saying his name wrongly. The best way was "seen", "siin" in Finnish.

Once I was in France and a French guy in a restaurant sees my name written and calls me Seeeaan . I said no , it’s Irish so Sean is pronounced like the French , Jean . His eyes opened soo wide as the realisation dawned
