If you guys are heading to Oz. Think about camping at Showgrounds.Usually cheaper than camp grounds have toilets & showers, most have electricity hookups & 1 in nearly every small town. Not flashy, but usually clean with hot water.

I am amazed that you get such quality video footage with such a small and reasonably cheap drone. As someone who has travelled widely over the last 50 years (back in the day carrying 13 rolls of analogue film waiting to get to US to develop them) I have much respect for your minimalist packing!!! Safe travels. See you in Oz again maybe... 🙏

Monument Valley was my highlight of all my trips to the US. If you ever go back (or anyone reading the comment), do a tour with the tribe where they drive you around in the back of their 4WD Ute and put on a bbq/show at the end of the day. It was absolutely awesome. They take you off road too.

Monument Valley is awesome. We spent day there in August '91 with a Navajo named Roland Cody Dixon, who was a teacher at the Navajo school and when he found out my wife was a teacher he took us around the valley for the whole day and performed 2 songs in the Great Hogan for us. It was the highlight of our stay in the U.S..

We 3 Aussies (my wife, her sister and myself) were at Forrest Gump Point and stayed at The View Hotel in Monument Valley a little over a week ago. It was a detour we made from our Route 66 trip. Our weather was fortunately a little better than what you experienced and we had some awesome views during sunset and sunrise. It's pretty neat though to see it in different conditions and it still looks spectacular. BTW, we finished Route 66 yesterday at Santa Monica after 23 days going along as much of the old route as possible. Your video of that trip was a lot of help. 😁
