The people over the road from me had a garage built a while back, and were left with a heap of topsoil from where they dug the footings. He put the entire heap through a coarse sieve for his garden, and it took him getting on two months from start to finish. That's two months to process a heap of dirt that was pretty much exactly the same as Chris took out of that pond with each bucket full, and doing it about four times a minute. It gave me some perspective about just how much dirt that 220 can move in no time at all.

I really enjoyed the week that DP came down and helped you it just goes to show when you got somebody working with you that knows what to do and you don’t have to tell them how and what to do how much work do you can get done so anyway brother another great video you and John and yawls family stay safe and keep the videos coming

Yep,, sometimes it hard to start a fire,,then it can be hard to put it out. You know how to make it look nice- you have had LOTS of practice. Not a place for lateral swale that will create a washout gully to the pond - lots of 'smoothing'. That is shaping up real good.

@@snarkymcsnarkles3493 you have to work with the customers budget and it wouldn’t be just a couple hours excavators are expensive hourly if this job is even by the hour it could be by the job but it all comes down to money you can’t run equipment for free and you can’t go against your customers

I wonder if Chris has an excavator operators version of "sea legs" when he's done at the end of a day and he climbs out and walks around. All that dig, swing, dump and do it all over a couple of hundred times. On the embankment it had to be like ridding a carnival Twister ride. Swing down to dig, rotate 180 to dump cab up 5 to 6 feet then back down for another load.
