Thanks a lot Jamie for the great recipes. I love soups, especially in winter. My favorite is minestrone. But often, I make a vegetable soup with "left over" veggies. Can be carrots, leeks, broccoli, spinach, mushrooms etc. I usually add either lentils or potatoes, cook the veggies and the blend it to a cream and add a tiny amount of cream. And to make a full meal out of it, I serve it with bread croutons, or small pieces of a hard cheese, like Gruyere. Its always different, always tasty and a good way to use up veggies that arent super fresh anymore.

love an onion soup without the tears so only use sweet onion (Vadallia, Texas, Mexico or Peru so available all year thru) having meatloaf tonight so onion soup will have to be Sunday tea 🇨🇦🙏

The trick is not to cut in the root of the onion. That's where most of the eye watering stuff hangs out.

Onions without tears: get a little fan and set it beside the chopping board, so the airflow blows the fumes away. I have done this ever since I chopped a huge heap of onions in a professional kitchen and realised the reason I was fine with it was because the nearby extractor fan was pulling the fumes away.

My mom is looking for a Jamie recipe from Jamie´s everyday superfoods epsiode 3 . We can´t find it anywhere , not even in the book. She says he was cooking outside when visiting Ikaria in greece. There should have been an older person with him - they picked fresh salad or herbs and it may contain squash or feta - she isn´t sure tho. In the end it kinda looks like an egg roll to her . Does anyone know which recipe it is ?

As a brazilian I must say: watching a chef using industrialized beans in a box is so awkward! Seems like a cheat. Guys, learn how to cook natural beans, it's not rocket science. Every 80 years old grandma's here can cook beans that is at least 20x tastier that these beans in a box...
