This is a ferry trip from Naha, Okinawa to Kagoshima.
The ferry is the Queen Coral Cross of the Malix Line.
I departs from Naha at 7:00 a.m. and arrives at Kagoshima at 8:30 a.m. the next day.
On the way, the ferry will call at Motobu, Yoron, Okinoerabu, Tokuno, and Amami.
I booked 2nd class bunk for $162.

Hi again capsule. enjoyed this video. Your bed looked really small and cramped but I guess like what you said it's good for one size it out. Seems like you really enjoyed the voyage. I wanted to jump into the sea from the ferry several times. I did not drink alcohol in moderation on this trip. I will take good care of myself and continue my trip!😊

The importance of this inter-island service should never be understated. I was impressed by the intensity of the port calls. So brief, but so energetic. That was a useful comparison between the tip of Kyushu and other places on the planet. Who would have thought that land-locked New Delhi was the same latitude. That technique of using the large window then pulling back into the ship was nicely done. All in all, an enjoyable contribution to the knowledge of 'gaijins' on the travel capabilities around your country. Sayonara.

I appreciate and am amazed that you took the time to look at my video so closely. There are many shipping routes in Japan, but this ferry combines both transportation for the islanders and sightseeing for the tourists. Every ferry trip is a discovery. Typhoons are most common in Okinawa in September, but are also somewhat common in November. However, November is not a bad time to travel to Okinawa, as the seas are often rough in December due to winter weather conditions.have a good trip! 😆

If you have difficulty with stairs, you can use the ferry company's shuttle service. The shuttle car will take you to the vehicle deck, where you will use the elevator. I should have carefully explained this in my video. I will reflect your point as necessary starting with my next video. Thank you! 😌

Very clear introduction of the individual islands and ports, I watched whole video and appreciated the effort you made, as well as the Japanese business model; I guess the sea freight is subsidized by cargo, as the number of passengers is too few to earn money. It can hardly happen in Hong Kong, the boss would 100% close this line, or 100% increase ticket fee from passengers.

However, it seems that the number of passengers is not so important for this ferry, as it earns more from cargo than passengers. I hope this ferry will always remain an important means of transportation for the islanders.🙂

Thanks for your comment. You have a point. The cafeteria serves hot meals, although the hours are limited. The ferry has a small number of staff members who play several roles, so some of the services to passengers are not well attended.😀

与論島と沖縄を７泊8日で高校三年の時行きましたが、与論島綺麗でした。与論島当時は原付のパッソルと薔薇乗ってる人が港にいっぱい。当時宿泊したプリシアリゾートはまだあるんかな後船の煙突はファンネルってのはびっくりファンネルはνガンダムとかのファンネルって頭でして

@@capsulejapan さんまだ健在でしたか！前回も那覇から4時間船で与論島でした。まあファンネルネタはそうですね。前回の時多分船はなんかちゃうの乗った感じです。二等寝台八人でした毎年二月の阪神タイガース春季キャンプのとき那覇宿泊なので機会あれば離島行ってみます(日帰りで) 久高島は行きました日帰りバスツアーで。なんか気軽に行くのが良くない感じでしたね雰囲気が。沖縄本島の主要な観光地だいたい行ったかもです

If you wish to board the ferry in a wheelchair, let the ferry company know in advance. Board the ferry from the rampway in the ferry company's vehicle. Then, take the elevator to your cabin. 페리 회사의 창구와 선내 직원들은 영어로 대응할 수 있다. 단, 조금 번거로울 수 있으니 시간적 여유를 가지고 이동하는 것이 좋다. 인터넷 예약은 어려울 수 있지만, 일본의 페리는 연말연시나 초, 중순을 제외하고는 만석인 경우는 거의 없다. 어느 방이라도 괜찮다면 당일 창구에서 티켓을 구입해 승선할 수 있다. 좋은 페리 여행 되시길 바랍니다.🙂

いつかは乗りたいと思うのですが、本土の太平洋フェリーやさんふらわあのように設備が充実してから乗るつもりです。新造船なのに、設計者の感性が古いのか、フェリー会社の要望なのか、残念な船に感じます

このフェリーは大浴場がありませんし、個室も種類が少なめです。島民の方たちの欠かせない交通手段であり、貨物の輸送手段という面が強いので、やはり観光客向けのサービスは弱い部分もあるかもしれません。ただ、沖縄と九州を結ぶ唯一のフェリーですし、いずれ乗ってみる価値はあるかと思います。ぜひいろいろなフェリー旅を楽しんでくださいね。😊

マルエーの波之上で那覇→鹿児島利用したことがあるのですが、観光客はわずかで島の人が多く、レストランも定食屋さんに毛が生えた程度という感じでまさに生活航路でした。このため設備も全般的に簡素、実用的という感じです。いわば海上の路線バスといったところでしょうか。これが残念と感じる理由だと思います。沖縄には湯船に浸かるという文化があまりなく、大体の人はシャワーで済ませるので、船にも大浴場がないのかもしれません。この動画でも少し触れられていますが、名瀬～鹿児島間の夜行部分は重要な足になっているようで非常に多くの人が利用していました。貨物（コンテナ）の途中の寄港地での積み卸しも多く、島と島を結ぶ人流、物流の重要ルートになっているようです。私が乗ったときは牛ではなく豚が多数乗っていました。ところで、就航船は3隻ではなく、マルエー2隻、マリックス2隻の4隻態勢のはずです。

字幕が間違っておりました。マリックスはクロスとプラスの2隻でしたね。字幕を修正いたしました。ご指摘ありがとうございます。海上の路線バスとの表現、まさにその通りだと思います。瀬戸内海航路など観光向けの要素が強いフェリーに乗りなれていると、こちらのフェリーはとても新鮮で興味深く感じられます。
