This was a HUGE hit in 1978. I have never read anything to indicate she had anything other than a business/friendship relationship with Kenny Loggins... nothing was "going on." I remember in an interview, Stevie mentioned that Kenny was such a perfectionist and he was quite short and terse with her to perfect the song. At a televised awards program (not sure which), Stevie was sitting next to Kenny when he won. She was beaming and was the first to stand up when he rose to accept the award. Stevie was very busy in 1978/1979 providing back-ups and duets with Kenny Loggins, John Stewart's Gold, and Miranda, Bob Welch's Devil Wind, and Walter Egan's Magnet and Steel. All are worth a listen.

A friend of mine was in the music biz in the 70s as a songwriter, producer, engineer...etc. he had reason to visit a lawyer's office one day. Now he had been around a lot of heavy hitters including the Rolling Stones and so many more. So hes in the waiting room of the attorney. The outside door opens and in walks Stevie, (still in her prime and stunningly beautiful back then) and sits down across from him. Did they chat about music or songwriting? No. My friend couldn't utter a word the whole time they sat there. He said he couldn't even breathe until he was called into the office. The Aura of Stevie Nicks. I know how he felt. In the 90s, I bumped into One of my favorites, Amy Grant. Her beauty clipped my tongue off for several minutes. When I finally got my voice back, we chatted for almost half an hour about our kids while I sold her well over 200 dollars worth of baseball and soft ball equipment. By the time she was ready to check out, I wanted to talk her out of marrying Vince but I didn't want to cause any trouble. 😁
