you can all badmouth the dress uniforms, but regardless of branch, you all know you started walking a little taller, and strutting a little bit when you were issued them. when you're in your first couple of weeks, and you see other flights in their dress blues, you were kind of in awe of them. those uniforms meant you were almost finished with basic. i know myself and my flight kind of felt bulletproof when we started wearing our blues.

BIGBLACK BEAR funny thing is you don't even wear them. I guess it depends on where you're stationed, but In all my 8 yrs I've worn it once lol.

I've been in for 5 years and the only time I ever saw anyone wearing them was at BMT graduation.

My son is now at BMT. Graduation expected date is Dic. 29 th. Hope my son get that trench coat. He’ s going to love it.

She's still there I graduated October 22nd and it's even harder to understand her with masks on

When i was in we had two sets of dress blues, one for winter one summer. There was a tan uniform called 1505's and fatigues. I wore my summer blues four times, two of those times was in BMT. I went my entire four years wearing just fatigues. When I got out, all of my uniforms still had the one stripe I got out of basic, except fatigues and the one blue dress coat. I went through three pairs of combat boots, but my dress shoes and chukka boots were barely even worn. The long dress overcoat still had the original tags inside, I never wore it, even once.

Yes. Men get the trench coats too. They are very warm with the liner zipped in but a pain in the ass for wall locker inspections because they have a bunch of buttons all over it and you're pretty much guaranteed to miss one or two the first couple inspections.

1st issue is during zero week and 2nd issue is a couple weeks later. About the time you have all the loose threads clipped off your first set of uniforms they send you to pick up a bunch more at second issue :).

What they get is half of it thier second year. After enlisted troops complete three years on active duty, they begin receiving the standard clothing allowance, which is higher than the basic allowance......They get enough to cover it, if they are not in Maintenance. I've pretty much bought all my uniforms myself, the only thing I have ever gotten issued aftet I got to my first base was a set of coveralls and new boots

I wore that thing one time during basic training and it sat in my closet for many years before eventually it didn't even fit me anymore. Its honestly useless in the real air force, you'll never see anyone wearing them. If your fighter maintenance at a base with a high tempo you'll never even wear blues. Half the time we would just bring them in without wearing them and simply say "Here they are!" And put them right back in your car.

What's with the enormous glasses? Aren't they allowed to use lenses or more discrete/lithe models at least? The safety-strap on those huge spectacles are a bit hilarious too. It's almost prejudice to make them wear them lol, even if they are "free" of charge probably. Same with clothing I suppose.

@GrandmotherAbuser ahh i see thanks and 1 more thing... 1st of all my grandma is dead dont try it -.- 2nd of all i found out that i have a mole on my head but not the ones that are big and fat that pop out like a pimple... its laying down pretty much some said they cut the mole of is that true?

Still have them. My son is at BMT, but thankfully doesn't need corrective lenses. His friend graduate BMT May 2020 and he wore those glasses.

+tjrieves Evidently you have absolutely "NO idea" what you're talking about.Obama has been getting rid of Generals, reducing the size of our Armed Forces, eliminating some benefits they USED to get. You're telling me there are "no cuts going on"? On the F-35 fighters. Israel is buying some Japan is buying some U S is buying 29 and i'm sure more orders are upcoming. These aircraft have been built because "they are needed" and not just for the heck of it. You know nothing about the military and how it's run, why things are done, and yet you are an "expert" on the F-35 stealth aircraft? You listen to too much B.S. on the news. The next thing you'll be telling me is there were no WMDs in Iraq maybe? Our government is saying NO ( originally they said yes ), but they don't always tell the truth either. FACT: I know first hand that WMDs were found "all over the place" and i'm sure there are still many out buried in the desert. How do i know? My son was there, HIGH-ranking officer, Combat Engineer. His guys were finding them all the time. Don't talk unless you can "back up" what you're saying.
