How to remove a cake from a cakesafe

Each CakeSafe cake box comes with full instructions for use with any cake boards and drums on the market. It also has instructions featuring color photos for assembly and disassembly.

I had a cake start to bulge when removing the rod, what can I do to prevent this

Hi Phyllis, I'm so sorry about that! My guess is that your filling was either too warm or you dam between layers wasn't thick enough or set for long enough. Also focus on twisting the center rod during removal instead of pulling. Twist more than you pull. If you'd like, you can email me the details of your cake and I'll troubleshoot with you to make sure this doesn't happen again! Helpful things I'd need to know are: How long was your delivery, what you used for filling and what type of buttercream you iced the outside with (Swiss, American, etc...), approximately how thick your dams were, and how long you chilled your cake before delivering it... and any other details you'd like to share.
