This is the how to video I didn't know I needed to watch. I bought the Fanttik T8 a couple years ago but was unaware of the Boost mode. I also wish I bought the deluxe package as opposed to the regular. Thanks for this informative video.

Funny thing is I saw this on Horsepower Obsessed and was on the fence but once again Jason, after watching your video I pulled the trigger on the deluxe, lol. Perfect timing for the winter and to possibly help someone in need without having to open my hood.

Very cool, glad the video helped. True story...last weekend I was visiting my son, and he has a car that has been sitting a while with a battery that has been stone dead for over 6 months. We hooked the T8 up to it...and it fired immediately upon the turn of the key. The digital display went down to 93%. He didn't believe it would work. Ol' dad showed him that he knows what he is talking about. 😎

Thanks for info. I purchased one but just tried to use it today to help my neighbor jump his jeep. Didn’t know to put in “boost mode” so I wasn’t able to to jump vehicle. Now I know. 👌

I bought a different brand jump starter from Home Depot but I wish I had thought about buying one at the beginning of the pandemic. And even when it was on the news that AAA got a lot of calls when people went back to work it still didn't dawn on me to pick one up. I'm glad I have it now.

Have you tried the big brother to the Fanttik T8 Apex, the Fanttik T8 Max 3000A. We reviewed it a few months ago, very nice unit.

The only thing I would like to mention about the Fanttik T8 Apex Jump Starter kit that I received is that. Mine did come with some kind of clear vinyl cover over the screen portion of it. And I am not sure when Jason originally posted this KZfaq Video. But, the last time I when to Amazon. They had the Fanttik T8 Apex Jump Starters for sale on Amazon Prime for $99 dollars.

Nice review! Just curious on how safe is the Fanttik when used on a car where the negative body post terminal should be used instead of direct battery connection when jumpstarting according to the car manufacturers manual?

Typically you'd follow the owners manual. The negative post is usually connected to the negative battery terminal (ground) and provided as a convenience when the battery isn't easily accessible.

Was going to get a competitors product, but this is a great deal. I ordered one. Thank you sir! 129 for the deluxe is a deal. Going to throw it in my truck for emergencies! I also preordered the tire inflator. Debating the mini screw driver hahaha.

@@5L_Eater Sorry...to be clear...which competitor jump starter were you going to get? And yep...the X8 is pretty cool. I have one on my workbench right now. 😎 Going to start testing soon. So far, it looks on par with the T8.

For the same price I'm going with the 3000A Yesper Armor. It doesn't come with a fancy case but I don't need it to. I carry it with me on the job as it does what my company provided jump pack can't do.....and that's jump dual battery diesels. This thing is a Beast.

@@nausticaz6845 Great. I initially was planning to buy a used Noco GBX75 but read a comment on KZfaq who said that he is in road side assistance and says the same you say. Yesper is better and have more juice left to jump start where a noco would be done. Also did you tried it in cold weather? I plan to use it in -15 to -30 Celcius.

Please excuse me if I don't understand the cables the USB-C to the USB-C cable and the USB-A to the USB-C would you tell me the differences and what to use them for

It is the type of cable needed to charge something, designated by the connector on each end. USB-C is a newer style connector that is starting to be used by more and more products, and it seems to replacing USB Micro B in a lot of products coming out. This jumper is appropiated for a 1.2 car like my spark gt or my car is just too small for this device?

I don't think these have issues with cars with engines that are too small, only with engines that are too large.

I bought the deluxe kit the other day as a Lightning Deal for $110. It looks and feels fantastic. BUT, I tried it on my sister's car, and it didn't work, even when trying to force the unit. I know her car runs, because I jump started it the old fashioned way just a few days ago. I fully charged the unit so I know it is not that.

Well that's not cool. I am thinking that one of two things happened...your sister's car has an electrical issue, or the unit you received is defective. I am honestly sure which one is more likely. Last fall, I used mine to jump start a car that was sitting for over a year and was as dead as can be. Mine started it on the first try, which even I was surprised. I mean it was DEAD. Then I fully charged it and put it in the shelf. I check it once in a while, and it is still at 100%. I believe that Fanttik's customer support is pretty good, so I'd reach out them and see what they say. Please let me know what happens.

Lithium Ion or Lithium Polymer batteries need to be used from time to time. I mean they need to be discharged and charged. Additionally they're very susceptible to extreme conditions especially to cold. I guess this device has a non-replaceable lithium battery... So, one must make sure one takes care of this device properly. Don't know about the people who have closed / heated garages for their cars. But, it should be kept in mind, when leaving a ride in the cold weather, this device's battery will be affected as much as the car's own battery. Besides the car's battery's capacity rivals that of this device. So I figure, instead of dealing with a device that needs constant care, why not deal with your own car's battery? In my opinion, it's better to be actually prepared, than to trust a device that would probably fail after 2 years, errr, non-usage...

@@rudeboy8g7 Gotcha. I had a similar issue with a different company. I only used it once or twice and maintained it properly, but the battery expanded to where it looked like the while unit was going to burst. The company had no interest in working with me since I didn't buy it from them direct. I was not a fan of that and I won't buy their products again. I took a chance with Fanttik and so far, so good. I really can't answer your question, though...I think it all depends on a lot of things like time, usage, temperature, etc...in addition to the quality of materials.

It's a total rip off copy of the Hulkman , including Hulkmans priority connection.

is a pay promotion, not a genuine review I saw a couple of his videos promoting the same product, and I concluded that he is being paid to promote the product not because the product is reliable, but because of the money he receives from the company.
