So many people hate spacers. You basically said the same thing I say to so many others. There’s nothing to worry about with spidertrax and proper install.

It’s also funny because EVERY single ton swapped jeep on 40’s or larger rhat has a superduty Dana 60 and a 14 bolt has them on the 14 bolt.

I put mine on the super duty just to run Chevy rims 😂 I own multiple Chevy trucks so that’s why I run Chevy

Spacers are far better than any; gonna snap your hub offset wheel Glad to see someone else talk about it with experience.

Great info, thanks for demystifying wheel spacers. You will want hub centric spacers specifically for your application. Universals are junk they are lug centric, meaning they rely on the lug studs to maintain center they are known for causing wheel vibration.

I completely agree with you. I didn’t want to go into that detail because most people would just be confused and not understand it. So I figured that as long as they go with a good reputable company like the one in this video or Bora, the. They take care of all those details and people don’t have to worry. I still don’t enjoy the fact that they wear balljoints earlier and that kind of thing…but it’s just the way it goes. Gotta pay to play.

@WarPaintOffroad exactly, buy a good set that thr manufacturer already figured out the dirty work already, properly install them check them when you rotate tires and enjoy. I never noticed premature wear on the ball joints, but we were running Teraflex HD ball joints in our old rig that had spacers so that might have been it.

@@Bighorn_built that definitely could have been it. Terraflex HD balljoints weee good. I have some experience with them. They did have a bad batch go out. I’m not sure if it was just a bad batch or a change in the manufacturer…but lots of them recently have been failing. At this point I just run Apex Chassis ball joints. They seem to work really well.

Interesting, I've never thought of using wheel spacers for purely cosmetic purposes. Now I can look like one of the cool kids (one tons) on my dorky kid budget (D44's). 😂Would you recommend putting anti-seize on the back of the wheel spacer that will be against the steel rotor/hub? Really enjoy your channel and IG content.

Thanks for the support. I wouldn’t put anti siege on them. While they are aluminum and the hub is steel…they have never corroded together in my experience.

Will you need to heat the spacer lug nuts with a torch to break them loose when needing to remove?

Great question. No. A breaker bar or an impact will break them loose. The. A socket wrench will get them off. No heat.

It will be tight but like he said a breaker bar break that loctite seal your good. I always wire brush the studs to get any residual dry loctite off. Don't know if it helps but seems it would.
