In a previous video • Jeep Wrangler: P0204 I... I showed you the process I use diagnosing a bad fuel injector on this 3.8 liter Jeep Wrangler. I got the green light on the job and wanted to show a small part of that process. The confirmation. -Enjoy!

I was a Honda dealer tech for over 40 years and was known as a good diagnostician but too often I relied on experience and intuition trying to shortcut the troubleshooting. I am so impressed by your knowledge across so many car lines, your deep understanding of the operation of a car's systems, your skills with your diagnostic tools and the logic with which you track down the problem. I totally bow to you!

Agreed, he has excellent diagnostic strategy. I've been a tech for over 30 years, I always recommend his videos to younger techs, weather they watch or not I don't know, this video for example he ohmed the new injector versus the one in question to verify his theory.

Rob, I don't think it's that he has a understanding of the many car lines, he relies on his diag skills, his knowledge of basic electricity (amps, volts, ohms, etc), and a manufacturers diagram of how the cars electrical system is ran. Once you have that information, you can diagnose anything.

What I really like here is the way you quickly and easily check your data to verify your assumptions. For example, in this video you disconnected the injector and retested the resistance at that distant connector, proving that you were replacing the right one. Sure, nine times out of ten the wiring diagram and scan tool are correct, but the tech will get blamed if he didn't notice somebody else's error.
