Regarding "Keep Your Dog Off The Grass" signs. We had to put up a sign after the urine from a couple of dogs killed several big patches of our grass- turning it from green to yellow. The urine of the females is the culprit because they pee in one concentrated area, whereas the males tend to spray onto objects. We love dogs- we just prefer to not have a polka dot lawn. Thanks for the great video. We can't wait to move in this summer!

Its 70* here in W. Pa. today on 2/23/2023 very warm for this time of year. I would Love to be in Clearwater today. Here in Pa. we have Bike Laws to protect the drivers of cars and of the people on bikes. Bikers must obey all traffic laws and this means stop signs and traffic laws. I think you are going to get a New law about dogs ridding in cars. Dogs can't have there head out of the car, not even there nose. Might have to be in a travel cage. WOW ! 🌭🐶😆

I would be so lost in The Villages. It all looks the same and is so large. That’s the good thing about Duluth. You navigate by the lake. Difficult to get lost. Only the primary roads are busy. Residential areas are quiet. I’d stick to those. If I was ever fortunate enough to move to The Villages, I’d bring my nephew (pseudo-son) with me. He could do the driving while I navigate. He’ll be 56 in two weeks. If he suggested it, I’d take him with me, but I wouldn’t ask. He’s in Indiana, but coming up for a visit on the 6th so he’ll be here for his birthday. Show us the house that’s for sale in your neighborhood. You mentioned there was a nice one for 629K.

I am looking forward to riding my recumbent in the Villages. I have a mirror on my bike, but also a small mirror that attaches to my sunglasses which I find more helpful.

Jerry, I rarely comment on the vids, but you and I have the same E-bikes from Ride-One -Up. Couldn't be happier. Mine has the top bar, so it's not the step through. Having many years of cycling under my tush, I thought I'd offer some long haul wisdom, if you don't mind. 1) Those tires are designed for 80lbs PSI. You can definitely run them lower, but this sacrifices battery charge because the tires are so wide and heavy (along with very heavy rims) that they cause considerable rolling drag. The bigger the footprint, the more energy is required to roll the bike. Bike tires have an elongated oval print that should be as small as possible. Less air makes it bigger, sometimes by a lot. The exception is off road riding, where you want a mushier tire for wider grip. 2) Most people deflate their tires because of the desire for a softer ride. I get that, and I will run the front about 60 lbs PSI, but ther best way to get a softer ride is to get a better saddle and to adjust the shocks for more suppleness. The stock saddle on the Ride-One-Up is, to put it mildly, crap. So are most bike saddles that come with any bike. It's industry wide because they know many people will not ride much, and they can't predict what is comfortable with everyone. For years, I had a collection of very high-end saddles that all failed me. I could have used them for yard art. Allow me to recommend to you the Brooks B-67. It is made for exactly the type of riding position that we get with all bikes that are shaped like the current E-Bikes: upright, comfort, let's go shopping types. I even had one on my dedicated touring bike, and rode many 100 miles rides a day on that saddle. The same saddle now crowns my 700. The Brooks website is extensive, and has saddles for every purpose going back 100 years. They aren't cheap, but the main interface between rider and bike is not the tires - it's the saddle. Saddles Matter. Cheers

The 3 wheel vehicle is called a slingshot. It carries more than one person. A Spyder is a smaller version for single riders. Not positive but believe Spyder is made by bombardier and slingshot is made by Polaris .

Loving the tour. Like when you go traveling it's nice to see what's going on in the villages. Also when you visit the towns to. Lucky you with the nice weather. We just had a ice storm in Michigan. Believe this or not 400,000 people without power. I bet you don't miss that. Great job Jerry!

Great ride. I follow along on the map as you ride. You pointing out the streets and landmarks make it so easy to follow you.

Others might find this boring but I find it fun because I use it to ride my indoor bike (on a trainer). When it's freezing outside or raining I can pretend I'm in sunny Florida... with Jerry. I can watch it over and over and help raise your "count".

Traffic didn't seem too bad!

I absolutely love love love the bike and golf cart tours of The Villages. When we visited, my cousin took us to see those huge homes with the RV garages. That would be any RV owners dream to own. I check periodically and they do not come up for sale. They probably sell pre-market by word of mouth. All the sections in the Villages are beautiful from the old manufactered homes to the million dollar homes. I can't wait to I get there.

The neighborhood with 3 or 4 car garage doors that look bigger than the house?

I was concerned you’re a bit too tall to safely ride through the tunnels. They could be a little taller in my opinion. I used to be a claims adjuster in another life and one problem with bridges and tunnels was they’d pave them periodically, but never measure the clearance and adjust it. It remained the same when, in fact, it probably was reduced at least 6 inches, maybe more. Semi tractors were always taking out bridges because of this. Not their fault. Weather report, 3 degrees in Duluth and snow has stopped. Need to shovel. Have I mentioned how much I HATE WINTER? Yeah, about a dozen times. With as much as it rains in Florida, I’m surprised you need to water so much. I guess with the extreme heat and breezy weather it dries out fairly fast. That premiere house neighborhood is lovely. Only in my dreams. I’d likely be lonely. Aloe Vera plants maybe?

You may know Phil. He works at the starters shack in Bell Glade. His wife is one of my best friends and who I stay with when I come to The Villages! And she is a buyer for the pro shops. They may be a great couple to interview as they both work for The Villages. She is a vibrant and a great representative of The Villages. And Phil loves his job and would be a great conversationalist. Great ride along we see a lot of e bikes on the island have a couple of questions my hubby is Leary of getting them because of the stories he’s heard about batteries starting fires is there a special way to store the batteries when not on use or a way to prevent that from happening? Was Linda with you on that ride? So that’s where sand hill Cranes go during the winter we have them all over at home too

Nice ride. Are there other(more remote) areas where longer-distance cyclists ride? There's a national group I belong to and the first and third-place riders are both from the villages, with around 3,000 miles each since Jan. 1 of this year. That's a lot of traffic to deal with if they ride the same trails/roads you did.

Question...when you are using the motor, do you still have to pedal?
