JICO SAS VN45HE vs Shure VN45HE

Күн бұрынA comparison lf the Shure V115 Type IV cartridge fitted with a JICO SAS (Super Analog Stylus) sapphire stylus assembly vs. the V15 Type IV with the original Shure Hyper-elliptical stylus.
Note: There are a couple of errors in the comparison chart.
1. The Jico heading should read: Jico SAS/S VN45
2. The Jico cantilever should read: Sapphire Rod.
All other descriptions are correct.

The Shure VN45HE has sweetness and musical smoothness that JICO does not have.

They both sound wonderful. I'd be happy with either. The music is wonderful too Tchaikovsky Waltz from The Sleeping Beauty.

Boron cantilever and sapphire stylus from JICO SAS. Aluminum cantilever and diamond stylus from Shure.

Stylus is diamond for Jico SAS, they don't make sapphire styluses but they make sapphire cantilevers, there is one SAS sapphire cantilever option, but the tip is diamond.

Got old V15-4 with no stylus, got from LP Gear a JiCo VN45HE SAS/B plays great on my Technics 1600mk2❤

The Shure stylus sounds cleaner.

The description says a sapphire JICO stylus was used while the video says a boron JICO stylus was used, might want to clarify and update that info.

Jico too expensive for the sound delivered. High notch at treble. Shure definitively better. Such a pity they stopped manufacturing.
