Best Mel Tillis impression ever. And done with love and exact same delivery. Wish we could have had Jim longer. What I wish people got to see more of was his classical acting. He knew how to get everyone emotionally invested in any character he played.

You have to watch his interview outside of stand up and you hear him speak and realize this guy is really intelligent.

@@thedarksideoftheforce6658 Your right, Jim Varney was extremely intelligent. He was also a classically trained actor well versed in Shakespeare. His work as Ernest often typecast him and held him back from taking on more dramatic roles, which he would have been great at. His life's story is so tragic in multiple ways. His comedy and work as Ernest has entertained generations and I think their are a lot more people now appreciating how talented Jim was.

Jim Varney Is The Funniest Actor Ever!!! Ernest Is A Hilarious, Lovable Comedy Icon & His Stand Up & Voice Work & Other Performances In Movies, TV Shows, Live Theatre, & In Other Media Are Always Top Notch. His different voices, comic timing & nuance, & amazing physical slapstick are all great & extremely unique & memorable! His rubber face expressions & regional accents & exaggerated wonderful voices are hilariously vivid. I love his charisma & strong stage presence. I've read that he was also a classically trained actor & loved to perform in Shakespeare plays. He was apparently a great dramatic actor as well & I can definitely see evidence of that talent as Nash in Ernest Goes To Jail! What a magnificent & stark transformation! As Nash, he's convincingly menacing, intelligent, very mature & masculine, & obviously virile & sexual; such a dramatic contrast with our adorable, sweet, & funny man-child, Ernest P. Worrell!! Jim Varney Is A Timeless Treasure! Thank you for all of the marvelous entertainment & art. RIP JIM VARNEY
