Una traduccion resumida: Se impresionaron mucho con el quipo argentino. Dijo el de camiseta de argentina (John Kirwan) que de acuerdo con sus predicciones no esperaban la victoria argentina, porque habian tenido covid, no jugaban hace mas de un año que es demasiado, los all blacks venian jugando 3 partidos profesionales tenían mas practica. Pensaban que la argentina iba a dar pelea pero no iba a durar mucho. Eso es lo que LO impresionó mas. Pero que ha sido "absolutamente una performance increible" (palabras del propio kirwan). Tambien dijeron que los allblacks tuvieron una mala reaccion contra ARG porque se sintieron sobrepasados y tomaron acciones incorrectas que les costaron el partido con faltas y penales, como pegar cachetadas a los argentinos/ faltar el respeto. También en el minuto 5 hace una mención especial a lo que dijo Pablo Matera . El reportero dice muy impresionado "quiero que escuchen esto porque es excepcional" : pablo matera le dice al referi: "No puedo ver que alguien empuje la cara de uno de mis jugadores tienen que mostrar respeto, Estoy jugando por mi pais, eso no es respeto" acto seguido Kirwan dice "eso es increible, es lo mas inteligente que un capitan podria decir" (lo compara con un jugador neozelandés legendario retirado) dice que los argentinos juegan con mucho corazon y pasion, Y que los allblacks parecian haber perdido su disciplina. Comentario mio: es increíble la repercusión que tuvo lo que dijo Pablo Matera , vi muchos videos en inglés y todos comentan lo mismo. Nota: kirwan se puso la camiseta argentina en señal de respeto porque antes del partido habia criticado duramente a los pumas y habia dicho que "no representan ningun tipo de amenaza para los all blacks" a lo que se retracta y pide disculpas a los Argentinos que han jugado un partido impresionante.

That's very kind of you . Living here NZ public and media are very sour losers .. this is sort of an exception. It's regularly heard since 1991 how they have been Robbed at every world cup to 2011 then they win and everyone's a loser .now we are back to ABs being robbed from the last WC . The team is fine but the nation just doesn't let go very poor in defeat in general .

Being Irish and not so long ago we got our first taste of victory against the all blacks and again a couple of seasons ago but this Argentinian win ranks higher for me because it actually was a tournament game and that's something we have not achieved yet and I'm not sure we might ever beat them come competition time but the pumas have the belief now to push on👊

Scott Johnstone agreed man Those scrums were shocking! why didn't the ref put it down fast enough I swear they were just soaking up all that time in the scrums it was like 5 mins per scrum and after a collapse it would just waste even more time back in the day the refs would put the scrums down fast and I mean like straight away they should have it where u stop the time in scrums it wastes to much time for actual gameplay in my opinion.

The best compliment I can give is that kiwis are not surprised by this loss. We all knew Argentina was getting better and better. I often think we rate Argentina higher than their own fans. I didn’t think we would lose this game to Argentina, but I knew that we would lose a game to them soon. Felicitations!

Great sportsmanship and accurate analysis by John Kirwan! A great example for everyone! The All Blacks are still the benchmark in World Rugby and we are also forgetting that the Pumas were able to call the European players, which have been blocked for the past 5 years, reversing a policy that probably cost them dearly in the International Stage. Pumas have undisputed 1st players across Europe! It is insane not to use them on these games. They have been in so many pressure cook situations and they provide experience to the new coming players. What Argentina, to some degree the Fijians, do in World Rugby is nothing short of a Herculean effort. They need to overcome so many difficulties (traveling, geography, financial, family, lack of a competitive domestic league, etc) before they send a XV on to a pitch. All behind that anthem and shirt! Impressive! Well done! The Pumas, also clearly planned and thought this single game through. Reminds me of JPN vs RSA in 2015, NZ vs RSA in 2018, IRL vs NZ in 2016, where one team focus all their efforts in one single game, taking the initiative of the game and surprising the opposition. It took 60 odd minutes for the ABs to realise that they were struggling to win the battles. And how many times during the McCaw, Read, Nonu era have they won games they should have lost? Australia, Scotland, Ireland, England, South Africa... They seemed to have lost that confidence and ability to finish strong. They will get back on their feet and we will be complaining again that they win way too often.

Here is food for thought.., rugby is an Amateur sport in Argentina played mainly at private schools,where 98% of the population would not even watch it on TV ,let alone be familiar with the game rules, yet We have made it to the Semi finals of 2 World Cups and now we top it up with beating the masters of the sport, Well done fellow argies , We are up on top in Soccer, Basketball,Hockey, Tennis and Polo but 5 more years we should be in the top 4 in the World. GO PUMAS. probably the only Rugby team in the world where every player was born there.

Rugby is the second most popular sport in the country after football I would dare say, and the second sport event most watched ( 50percent of the population or more) so it's not exactly like that. Comparing it with world cups, after the fifa world cup comes the rugby one, people are everyday more hyped with it. The last one was on the mouth of lots of people and the matches were on every tv screen on bars and pubs with tons of people watching. So it's not the alienated sport that it used to be

Very fair of Mr Kirwan to apologise and even don the Argie jersey, well done! Also, tbh a majority of us Argie fans didn't expect this particular win in this particular circumstances. There were other matches, in normal circumstances, where we were so close to winning (but didn't happen); and in the face of 402 days without rugby and lots of logistical problems and improvised stay-at-home training, and the ABs having reassumed rugby playing since June, well, all the odds were against Argentina. We knew we would beat the ABs some day, but not specifically on that day under that circumstances. Thank you for your apologies, Mr Kirwan!

I don't think people write them off. I think in the past their fitness was called into question. Clearly this has improved over the last few years and they have beaten both Australia and SA. They are a new resurgent team with balance across all areas of the game. I hope thy can sustain it. the 2015 rugby world cup match against Ireland was the teller.

Actually any team that goes against the ABs are written off long before the game is scheduled. A win against the ABs is great for any team but you need to back it up the next game which many teams fail to do.

As a French fan i thoroughly enjoyed this epic game . Argentinian defence was awesome and watching the underdog spank the AB's was superb. Bravo les argentins , ça faisait longtemps que vous méritiez un scalp pareil en jouant un rugby magnifique . Ça ne presage que des bonnes choses pour la coupe en 2023. Watching Kirwan eat his words is rather satisfying too , i must say.

John Kirwan with the pumas shirt is a priceless image that I will take to the grave. I have hated and admired John Kirwan from a very young age, when I saw him face Los Pumas in 1985 at the Ferro stadium. He has proven to be quite a gentleman and a respectful guy. And that's the true spirit of rugby. thank you John

Is nice to see how respectfull are this persons , even kirwan one of the most important rugbiers in history. They could just say that this will ocur onlu one time in a long period but they show real reason for argentina to win. NZ is the real world rugby center, and we will keep on learning of their way of playing, but in the last 20 years argentinian rugby showed an unespected move into the better rugby in world, in the very same time that the way of rugby open into much better condicion of playing, in amore open way , a more equility between diferent position in team, more creative and open movements, those values were not the often qualities of argentinan team , but they get it , and now they can play in better condicions

It was definitely a real win. Luck played no part in it. Penalties were all legit. The ABs were shocking in discipline. On fact, they always are, they are now getting caught. I'm enjoying the panic in Kiwiland

I think that since the Pumas set the bar so high for themselves, they're now also expected to win against Australia. A performance below that from last Saturday against the ABs would be a disappointment, but that will inevitably happen b/c Argentina, so far, has never been able to keep such performances in a row. Anyway, the next match against the ABs, it's sure the ABs will plan carefully and definitely have a Plan B, the question is whether the Pumas can also have a Plan B and a Plan C. The next 3 Pumas' matches are looking very exciting!

As an Argentinean, I must say there is no need for apology. He was not disrespectful. He was just making a prediction and it was a reasonable one. And predictions can be wrong, that’s all. On top of that, this is John Kirwan who’s talking, one of the greatest wings we have ever seen when he used to were the All Blacks' jersey, the most admired worldwide. My respect.

The fact that we never beat the ABs before buried in peoples mind the fact that in 3 or 4 other occasions Argentina was only seconds or meters away of defeating the All Blacks. Kirwan made a very common and understandable mistake, you cannot take statistics out of context!

Who is watching this with a smile after yesterday’s game. Respect to the AB’s been able to compete against the best is always joyful. As an Argentinean, I don’t see the powerhouses of the southern hemisphere as our rivals. I see them as our older brothers, with admiration. Hopeful that one day the Pumas will achieve the same level of play. The rivals are north of the Equator. Cheers!

Kirwan siempre fue un jugador implacable, pero leal. Su predicción era absolutamente lógica. Ahora viene Australia, y dudo que David Campesse tenga el 10% de la hidalguía de Kirwan, quien no tiene nada de qué avergonzarse ni desdecirse. Dicho esto, por el historial de encuentros, tanto Australia como NZ tienen muy buenas chances de ganar a Los Pumas, y volver a la "normalidad". Como en este histórico partido, estaré contento con que Pumas le hagan mucha fuerza, sean competitivos e inteligentes.

Totalmente, ademàs que es un poco demasiado al dope pedirle a LP que mantengan ese nivel de juego en los 3 partidos que les quedan, algo van a bajar en algun momento; van a pasar algunos anhos antes de que encuentren el modo de mantener ese nivel del sabado 14 en varios partidos seguidos; el dia que asi sea ahi si que se instalan para siempre entre los 3 primeros.

Creo que los All Blacks no supieron que hacer ante el excelente juego de los Pumas .Cuando ingresaron los jugadores argentinos al campo de juego fueron extraordinario hubo garra, actitud, energía .juego , perseverancia, etc. Nunca hay que subestimar a un equipo .... Good on him for wearing a Pumas jersey. Perhaps it’s a New Zealand thing. A Kiwi mate of mine wore an old England jersey that his wife had bought him, after the England NZ RWC semi final.
