Really. Been holding that one in the holster till most of that greatest generation is gone. An entire generation of young people sent to war in a real do-or-die scenario involving the entire globe. Tell me, how many years did you spend in uniform? And exactly which "nazis" pose the larger threat to democracy now, antifa? Get out of your way? Why, what are you going to do? It happens! Especially during something like the pandemic. I hope he realizes that it doesn’t mean he’s failed at sobriety. Relapses should be 100% expected, the only thing that matters is how you deal with it and that you can recover from the relapse.

I'm a former addict from 16 to 27. I've been clean two years now, but it took endless relapses to finally get a long period of sobriety. I have cravings everyday. He lost the battle but he can still win the war. Wish him the best of love and the strength to stay clean

Haven’t seen this guy in a while. Best story he’s ever told was when he had the cannibal living next to him in his NYC apartment and he didn’t know until the cops swarmed the entire building at like 5AM after they did a sting operation and caught the cannibal in a “cannibals chat room” online

I believe SNL lets the hosts do stand up if they’re comfortable with it (usually stand up comedians). If someone without a stand up background hosts, or just a regular artist, they’ll do bits so the hosts have something to do in the monologue

@kevin willems No. He's basically saying that both the candidates are from wealthy stock and they are getting their pockets lined with the money of wealthy corporations and special interest lobbyist. Therefore, the same American narrative goes forward. The rich keep getting richer, the poor keep getting poorer because of the likes of the two men that are running for office. Neither one is different from the other. They just wear a different badge.

“At ease” captures it perfectly! With most SNL hosts, even if their monologue is pretty good, there's a kind of constant tension as you expect them to fall flat, and when the monologue is over, a sense of relief. With Mulaney, there's none of that, he's just effortlessly funny, it's like breathing for him; it's such a joy to watch!
