As a displaced Arkansas delta native, I just found this song and can’t even begin to describe the homesickness this pulls out of me. Grew up in southeast Arkansas where the landscape is just like this. Really means a lot to have a song and video that gives a little love to my homeland. Not to mention John’s voice is amazing.

John Oates has always had an incredible genius for being able to get the vibe of a place or situation and put it to verse. I'm at a stage of life. I appreciate his solo work 🙏 more tha. Ever before. I'm 62 and have been a fan for over 50 years. Arkansas is getting the love it deserves from this great song!

My favorite song right now and probably forever. I moved to Tucson Arizona like 2 years ago and I’m so home sick. I’m from Arkansas born and raised and this song hits home for me.

It is a beautiful song, and being from Arkansas, I would like to say it brought back memories of having to work in those cotton fields, where my family made their living raising cotton back in the 50's. As a young lad I remember having to pull a cotton sack 10 hours a day, picking cotton by hand, no mechanical cotton pickers back then, but I wouldn't change a thing.

This is where I'm from. This song is everything about that natural state. The trails, the rivers and creeks, the wide delta up in Jonesboro where I went to college. All of it! The hidden parts of Little Rock. The land outside of Fayetteville where I spent a decade of my life. I'll never be shed of Arkansas, and I don't want to be. I hope I end up there again one day. Arkansas runs deep in me, John. Thank you for this song.

Discovered the song on a hiking video of a person hiking Arkansas’ Ozark Highlands Trail. I am going to buy the album. I am thru hiking the Ozark HighlandsTrail in 3 weeks. Absolutely will be on repeat for my two week hike.

I would love it if the artists of my youth all took it upon themselves to write and produce REAL music about the things going on these days. We need the voices of those who know the heart and soul of this beautiful country to sing their songs and mayb, just maybe, be a clarion call to the youth of our nation and the world about the blessings we all share.
