I’m 63 now... when I was 18 I survived a bomb blast... I was in a coma in a London hospital. My girlfriends mum used to come sit by my bed after work on the way home and play John Denver on tape to me... Over the next Six months I came back slowly... learnt to talk, walk,, feed, simple things.... John Denver has stayed with me all my life, I strum his chords, badly, sing his words , a little better... He is with me always... As is Evelyn too... Thank you both... ! And the Doctors and Nurses of the Royal Free....! Respect...!

I went to a John Denver concert in 1974 at UTEP in El Paso Texas. I was 17 and we were in a small room with about 50 people. I will never forget how his music and innocent personality impacted me. Over the years I attended 3 more of his concerts, each one bigger and better than the last. A brilliant light went out the day he died, but his music and his legacy go on forever.

Eloquent apologetic melody of timeless grace. A mixture of gratitude 🙏🏻❤️ for John Denver’s 🎁 presence on 🌍 & mourning for his lack of physicality 🌎 in this minor moment in time. A spectacular person can make a moment a momentous experience. Thank you 🙏🏻❤️ God Almighty

The greatest artist, song , & presentation , of all time, from my friend JD, we miss you pal, but we keep on listening to your work, as do millions of your supporters , you are well respected John, & people just adore your music , make no mistake hombre you are well loved, we all wish you could still be amongst us , spreading your joy, it appears , that our Lord, had greater plans for you, WOW, that must have been something. Jacqueline Mary, as you always referred to her, & I still have our photograph of us all , sited in a prominent position, back in the UK, where it will remain until our demise. RIP my friend , I guess that we are on our way !!! TJR Canary Islands.

I have loved him for more than 50 years. What a blessing to have known him personally. I have always hoped he’s with our Lord. Such a loss here on this earth.

I went to two John Denver concerts in the seventies. Never saw a better natural performer. He established a rapport with the audience that most performers can't or don't try. From all the many concert footages and people's memories of his concerts, he spent a lot of his life on the road. I hope he got back from them as much as he gave, which was a lot.

But more than anything else, I’m sorry for myself...I only hope I will be rescued. I always wanted to please my mom and dad, and grandparents, but the challenges I have been through have caused me to be less than what I was when they were here with me, and us....actually my mom and grandma were here for part of my problems. I will try to get back there, but I have had two big scars, and I am never the same with some trials.
