@Every Little Thing Simon is the one trying to buy a club not Gabby. You don't see Gabby trying to be a coach do you. He knows he wasn't the best footballer. Simon has the perfect job. He is great at criticizing others and talksport is the perfect platform to do that. He is not a club owner material. He would fight with everybody, the work place would be toxic. The new generation does not like it when you tell them the truth. Simon would be a good club owner in the 1960's not today. You got to have a certain level of tact to communicate with players and young people today. Simon does not have it.

@Every Little Thing I run my own medical office here in the US. My sister is the doctor and we co-. Owned the facility. I hire and fire people and take care of daily operations and I am telling you, in today's world you have to know how to communicate with people or you business is going to get a bad rating on social media, people are not going to want to work for you or do business with you. That is it. Simon communication skills is poor. He is an old Dinosaur. His way of doing things won't work today. You can always buy a club but if you carry around that stink attitude, eventually your business start to feel it because people will not want to work for you and then the performance on the pitch start to get bad and then it spiral from there. People and football stars have plenty of options today. Nobody has to put up with Simons constant criticism and stink personality. There is a way you go about things. You got to have tact and diplomacy to deal with this new generation. Simon does not have any of these qualities. I have nothing personal against Simon, I listen to talksport everyday but people like you are kidding yourself. If he buys Coventry, the club would be in deep trouble in a short while.

That's not true. Some Singapore financier did, and then immediately sold the club onto Jordan. He then bankrupted the club and they went into administration. Then the ground went into administration later on, despite Jordan claiming he'd bought it in some shady deal. Even a broken clock is right sometimes. And Gabby is right on this one.

Ron Noades was way Palace had a lot of issues, Jordan's personality doesn't help himself, everyone loves seeing an arrogant person fail but his business lost a lot of money from the recession so couldn't fund it anymore. Jordan must be fuming though, those 4 guys who took over after spent barely any money and profited from the youth team Jordan left them. Whilst Villa were circling the plughole for a few years, our club captain led by example by putting on weight, outlawing the young French players we had at the time and running to the chairman when professionals on the staff like Roy Keane called him out on it. When he wasn't in Dubai or Abu Dhabi off his face on blow. Disgrace of a man who stole a living off Villa for 5 years and is now incredibly passing comment on other footballers on a national radio station.

He did a decent job as owner of crystal palace, but it wasn't his mistake completely for palace going into administration and he lost his own money. @@wolfcrewe7474 no Simon was a spanner he bought the ground through an investment company. At the time he said he was a clever sausage all in an attempt to not deal with Ron Noades the previous owner who had 'helped' total fantastist Mark Goldberg and us into admin the last time. He fried himself and us when the markets imploded in 2008 and that investment company started calling loans and then shoved us into admin. Pretty sure they imploded as well. The infamous protest at LBGs headquarters trying to convince the bank to let Parish buy the ground was pivotal. Jordan was a great wally at the end by trying to hoodwink Ron Noades he ended up wiping his fortune out and fucking us over totally. On the other hand that did lead to Steve Parish and the success that he has built. He is a competent Chairman. I suppose I should thank Simon for fucking up so badly.

As a Palace fan i seem to remember Jordan not being a bad Chairman at all. He had to deal with owning a club without owning the stadium wgich causes all sorts of problems financially. But i also really like Danny Murphy, he's usually very fair when he talks about Palace, he's also one of the few pundits who actually gives us credit when we win. Most pundits seem to think the opposition must have been appalling for Palace to beat them. As for Gabby, Simons right he's on national radio making slanderous accusations about someone and something he knows nothing about, its quite frankly embarrassing. He's lucky Simon doesn't deliver a writ on him for slander.

@@senzokai3156 I can't see Simon being successful as a club owner today because you have to know how to communicate with today's generation. He has a great job on talksport criticizing people all day and getting paid.
@senzokai3156
@senzokai3156 Жыл бұрын
@@Stewy-xw9fz I agree with you on that, but the context of what he says applies to weaklings who fail, like those at Man United. Those with a backbone, listen to leaders. Look at Guardiola. So many top talent have said he's not a people's person, and this is a manager we're talking about here. Yet, players with the right attitude, thrive under him. Additionally, football club owners don't always need to be involved with the players. That's where administration and agents come into the picture.
@Stewy-xw9fz
@Stewy-xw9fz Жыл бұрын
@@senzokai3156 a lot of football club owners tell the managers what to do and who to play in certain situations. E g ManCity bought Grealish for $100 mil and the owners told Guardiola to play him. Sterling had to leave because Guardiola had no choice but to play him. The owners cannot afford for a supposedly $100 million asset to depreciate rapidly. He would have worth nothing sitting on the bench. Sterling would have been a better fit with Halaand but that does not mean anything. Same thing when Abromivich was the owner at Chelsea. Same thing at ManU with Ronaldo right now. So don't be Naive. Owners tell coaches what to do base on market conditions. When they want to sell a player they don't want, the owners instruct the coaches to give him more minutes for a few weeks, the player does well, they pretty much showcase the player then they sell because they got the player price up. Good owners are closely involved in their clubs operations and play on the pitch.

This is why job going people should stay away from any conversation related to business. Most businessmen don't buy a business without any kind of debt. It makes no financial sense.
