I don't like Jovi. But he made it crystal clear he didn't want a child. This is what happens when women get pregnant and think men who do not want kids with magically change their minds. The whole it takes 2 to make a baby doesn't matter...he didn't want a kid, he isn't going to suddenly be happy about it.

well, to be fair, he said "what, am I just the babysitter now" about a situation where yara is going for a night out with friends, and he's complaining that he doesn't get to spend nights out with her. that's a classic babysitter situation, and they would need to get a babysitter if they both did go out together. so it doesn't mean that he generally calls being alone with his daughter "babysitting".

Growing up, my dad worked full time while my mom was a stay at home mother taking care of my siblings and I. When he was off on weekends, he'd take us all out to the flea market, street fairs, and pretty much any place just so we could all spend time together as a family. When it came to the, well, "alone time" between my parents, that usually happened when myself and my siblings were in bed asleep.

If the wife/mother ever finds the strength to leave, the husband/father will frantically try to maintain control, including escalating to violence. Thankfully my mom fought back and was able to get herself and her kids safely out of the situation. She divorced my father, and even though we have been poor ever since, we were psychologically free and physically safe. Freedom is the ideal.
