I don't know what the price of that car in your country. But in India XUV 500 starts from 1500000/- INR and they have very reliable engines & good milage, good safety, Good breaking. You don't expect that car to feel like Range Rover or Bentley from inside. you only get small hatchback car for that pricing in other companies & they are not that good & reliable. In our car rental business we have XUV 500's they are very good. In reliability I think Mahindra is very good and Toyota are also very good.

Still not upto the international standard, Yet this car is a good value for your money. Being an indian product it's sold in a very large number in India.

The additional few minutes of footage in this instance were a welcome improvement. I think if you were to aim for 8 - 10 minutes for your reviews, that would be great as you could cover more aspects of each vehicle including how good the ventilation is, vent placement, air con and/or heater efficiency, how noisy the fan is, seat comfort, steering wheel adjustment, is the bonnet gas strut assisted, or does it just have a manually operated stay, are there storage trays under any of the seats and so on. Loved the longer singing clips!

All that squeaking and rattling would drive me nuts after the first few minutes. Quality control needs a lot of improvement. Interesting vehicle though.

Offensive for many.. but thats a honest review. People value their money over ego and many people here forgets that... and i wouldn't buy this car that just look fine but wouldn't run like the looks it gives u.

Honest review. Mahindra should take it as constructive criticism. It can be low cost but well put together. What are taken for granted here in india will be exposed and magnified outside. High time to upgrade the metal sheets used for bolero body... the windshield frame starts rusting in a years time. High time for the completely new scorpio model too. The present model should have been name Mahindra Kangaroo because of the way it hops, bounces and sways over every speedbreakers, potholes and undulations.

Wait for new generation , but you have to consider it's reliability for the price it's offering, engine is very reliable and has strong built but yes small details and fit and finish lacks the touch

It lags behind miles by internatinal standard but it is the cheapest and the most affotdable big car one can own with all those bells and whistles. In india it used to be the best seller some time back before the entry of MG and KIA.

Actually Mahindra XUV 500 is a rally car build for road and got rough & tough character of a SUV. Not like it's competitors which car derived SUV.

It's the best in it's price range and if u want more then you can go for a Mercedes benz G class.

Hi juliet the level of refinement can be improved i am sure but being economical and most refined both cant happen....... If you are making an SUV of such size......!!! In india it is 50 perc less priced of fortuner or endevour!!!

Mahindra has got much bigger market to serve locally, no need to look beyond. But yes, if you wish Mahindra really like to make impression than lots of things to be done on interiors and marketing. U can’t put same car overseas what u sell in India. Indian version can fit well in South Asia and African market who actually prefers more in economical price range .

omg I like her...even though it is the actual review(i guess its a review) that people need who thinks mahindra Xuv 500 is a big deal. She has pointed out all the negatives that as an Xuv user like me would have pointed out. unfortunately I spend my money on it and hence I have to make most of it. But I have to admit that at this price range this car definitely suits Indian local roads.
