The garden booming and we're getting or about to get harvests of nearly everything! Even the plants that were struggling are starting to grow well.
I'm really excited about the okra and eggplant because it's my first time growing those and they are looking fantastic!
The Fish peppers and Korean Dark Green peppers are loaded down with fruit and I've also added a few new container herbs, including some perilla that's getting huge!

For a point of reference, I'm in Virginia in Zone 7. I like to grow a lot of rare heirloom varieties in my garden, which means lots of interesting shapes and colors!

Hi Sarah, if your compost has not broken down enough then it will be taking nitrogen instead of giving it. I also had some issues with the compost/topsoil I got this year, so I feel you. Your okra looks great. I like to grow my lettuce in the shady spots. Check out my last garden tour, I started lots of stuff a little earlier this year and things are doing really well. Crops starting to roll in. Do you ever incorporate flowers to bring in more pollinators?

Bummer about your raised bed issues. Can you get leaf gro down your way in VA? It's made in MD. We use "Mel's mix" 1/3 peat or coir, 1/3 coarse vermiculite and 1/3 leaf grow in our raised beds, then top off with a few bags of leaf gro every year at the end of the season. Glad it seems to be fixed for now, you should be able to get some stuff out of those beds still :) I love your garden tours!

Yes! I used Leaf Gro when make potting soil for my containers. I wanted to see if I could get away with using some bulk products for the larger areas. Oh well! With continued amendments I think it'll be fine for future years though.
