I'm showing you my process from pencils to inks, to the watercolor backgrounds, and rendering the character "Grace" with Copic markers.

If you mean in terms of this style, I will try to do one in the next few months, as I don't have this type of cover (All colors on cover) planned yet. But I will def. try!

I use masking tape when I use my airbrush. Though sometimes it has torn off part of the paper 😭 luckily I’ve yet to experience an unfixable tear lol

Yikes! Yeah, I've done that before with the edges of my art and scotch tape early on. It's embarrassing when it happens lol.

I don't know if I walk away often, or I walk away because there's usually something going on that I have to attend to while I work. Either way, it's a great idea to do so, like you mentioned, to refresh.

When you come up with a pose do you have a reference photo to make sure the costume matches previous works of art? Or is it all by memory?

I usually get a lot of references for the characters I'm illustrating. As many as possible from different angles to avoid making parts of the costume up. Or, feel the need to limit my poses due to lack of references.

It's actually Strathmore vellum bristol 11x17 paper.

It's a bristol. I believe it was the Eon board. No worries! I haven't watched the video in a while, so I don't know if I mentioned it.

@@SiyaOum Oh really? I know I've tried Copic on Strathmore Bristol 200 and it didn't seem to blend at all. I've never tried the Eon boards at all, and I know from the Lola XOXO process videos you've said that Bristol vellum was pretty solid for doing watercolor backgrounds. Thanks so much for responding, I love Lola XOXO and can't wait for your other creator-owned that you've hinted at in other videos. 💙

Do you erase the pencil sketch before coloring?
