hey, I'm also looking for this model (kamvas 16 2021), how is it performing now, do you see any scratches on the screen, how easily does the screen get scratched, also do you face any heating issues? kindly reply.
@SiyaOumКүн бұрын
I haven’t noticed any scratching or over heating yet. I’ll likely need to test for four hours straight to see. I haven’t heard of those issues from other reviewers yet.

a little off topic but do you use both Clip Studio and Photoshop? I'm trying to not use Photoshop
@SiyaOumКүн бұрын
I use Photoshop to export files. I’m not well versed in doing that in Clip Studio yet. The simple file handling tasks I’ve done with Clip Studio seems sufficient. I Still need to do it more to get use to it.

Hey, Maestra has the same Mac as I do! Honestly, I am a bit timid about digitally "inking" in Affinity and prefer the tactile feel of analog in that regard, so it is reassuring to see you can do it on that Mac Mini platform. Guess I should check out more of your tutorials and learn how to adapt to inking digitally because I feel my Mini can't handle it, could be totally wrong, but I like the difficulty of doing it analog (NO ERASING) :D Thank you for making this video!

I have worked exclusively on an iPad Pro for 4 years. Occasionally I think I'd like something larger but I feel like I'd be sacrificing display quality and would definitely be sacrificing portability. If only Apple would make a 15 or 16 inch iPad.
@SiyaOum3 күн бұрын
That would be the solution, really. I'm happy I can bring my laptop and small drawing tablet. I wonder if there will be a big enough market for artists at some point, as there was with designers/creatives in Apple's earlier demographic.

@@johnhorchler667 I understand the sentiment of A.I. and I'm on board with what many are saying that A.I isn't really what the dictionary definition of art is. If this pertains to a perception based off of something on this episode or the use of drawing tablets, please let me know. I don't want anyone to make the jump from me drawing mostly on paper, and using a drawing tablet to mean me using generated images. I'm also not sure if by A.I. , you mean "digital art", or the new technology out there, where the image is essentially created for you. Thanks so much for your comment! I don't want to assume what you meant, without first, clarifying.

@SiyaOum both I guess the way I think of it is You have a deadline & you are 3 weeks behind the internet go's out And your art work is rusty Now what are you going to tell the people 🤔 in charge 🤔
@SiyaOum3 күн бұрын
@@johnhorchler667 My honest assessment, opinion, and based off experience...most artist who have been working in the industry for awhile have too much pride, then to take that type of short cut. I actually had a late deadline h a month ago. I didn't have internet for two weeks and the pages were behind. I let the team know, and we moved things around so that other aspects of the book was being completed until things got sorted. The more transparent you are with the editors, the better off you are. It's common place for late work. Nowadays, deadlines are more flexible, depending on the type of book financing, i.e. crowd funding, versus big publisher. I have a couple of editors willing to attest to that. Hope that settles your mind on the use of A.I. However, I can't speak for the newer generation of people wanting to get into the field.

Wacom competitors such as Huion have been making large leaps in recent years. I'm sure there are advantages and disadvantages but it's nice to see there are viable alternatives out there now...and generally cheaper for folks like me who just wanna mess around with it and have fun.

16:56 I don't know if you've gotten the answer already, but if they are under a publisher and they're doing a weekly chapters of their manga, then the mangaka have assistants who are tasked with different parts of the art. There's no set amount of assistants or specific jobs like there are with American comics and that process (penciler, inker, etc). There's just the assistant who does background, or the assistant that finishes characters after the mangaka sketches them out. One assistant can handle screentones, one can write dialogue and the speech bubbles. There are assistants who handle the color pages on the occasions when there is a color page or two in the chapter. Even the editor can come in to help with finishing pages to hit deadlines. There are mangaka doing monthly chapters with assistants also. There are mangaka like Akira Toriyama (R.I.P) who did most of the work by himself, so you're in good company. But a mangaka usually has a team with them to hit their deadlines, and it's standard practice. Then there are stories like Yoshihiro Togashi, the creator of Yu Yu Hakusho. He burnt himself out hard doing all the work for the manga and wrecked his health in the process. The sad part is that even with assistants, there are far too many mangaka who've burnt out or had health problems working in manga, though more and more mangaka are starting to take breaks and not drive themselves into the ground to hit their deadlines. But good luck to you. I don't know if you remember my comment, but I decided to do a Ninja Turtle Fanzine. I asked my brother to help me with the story, so once that's done I can just make a comic and make something cool and enjoy the process and just be a Turtle fan and finally fulfill something I've really wanted to do. Either way, good luck to you. I hope you get everything you need from your journey. I hope you got everything you needed from this part of it.

This looks wonderful! I think your renditions of the turtles are fantastic. Thank you for sharing the process. As someone constantly looking to hold his pencil more comfortable, I noticed at the beginning of the video you were sketching with the pencil between your middle finger and index finger, but didn't do that much the rest of the video. Is that just something you do for sketching?
