We LOST SLINKY while I was away

We lost slinky while I was away in Costa Rica. He escaped from his indoor habitat at night in the backyard and the total freak out and mayhem ensued! Paul Cuffaro and Jerry Wolfe jumped into action and the search party began.

Yep, Slinky is part of the family. The thoughts that went through your mind during those agonizing 2 hours, must have been coming up with so many scenarios. Like you keep saying, It is so wonderful to have friends in the hobby. Looks like they found him so fast, and knew exactly how to handle him , you still had vacation in Costa Rica.😊

At least you know now that the cage needs reinforcement before the black throats get in there because Slinky is easier to catch then the black throats. So glad he was found alive and well and that you got your vacation/honeymoon. You have some really great friends.

Holy crap I think I could hear everybody's heart sink in unison when I saw the notification! Thank God you've got diligent friends. I feel like a lot of people would go out there, but it takes a different type of mindset to find a proverbial needle in a haystack, against all odds. Those are the type of friends you keep around!

I was so worried at first, but when I heard Paul and Jerry were there looking, I knew they would find him. Slinky isn't going nowhere. It's almost funny now that he is found. He is such a a smart lizard. How he knew to get out at that one spot. Just crazy. I love him. I'm glad you guys didn't have to leave. It looks so beautiful in Costa Rica.

I feel for you dude, one of my sulcatas got out the day of my sister’s wedding. To add insult to injury my Dad noticed it right before we were leaving for the wedding and didn’t tell us until the after the reception was over when we were on our way to a hotel because he knew we would have stayed behind and didn’t want to ruin the wedding since we were all part of wedding party. I understood his rationale but I was gutted. Anytime an animal get’s loose iis devastating and if you have animals it usually not if but when one will get out. It certainly something I don’t wish on my worst enemy.

Absolutely massive THANK YOU to Rob, Jerry and Paul, you are amazing for dropping everything to find slinky and get him home where he belongs. Have to say I was shaking just reading the thumbnail after everything you have been thru 😳 Then the biggest sigh of relief when they found him. How appropriate was the slogan on Robs hoodie. Thank you so so so so much for Paul, Jerry and Rob for taking time out and finding him. I can imagine how scared, stressed and worried you ALL were. I can imagine Kenan was already trying to book flights home but thanks to the boys for saving Kate and Kenan’s honeymoon which they had been waiting to enjoy for years! Seriously thank you so so so so much and Slinky please stop giving us all heart attacks! I’m so happy that kate and Kenan actually got to enjoy your honeymoon that was so well deserved and overdue

That Slinky is such a scamp!!! It’s good to have friends that you can call on in an emergency. Everyone was so concerned and determined to find him. I’m so glad everything worked out well. Of course, although it was hard on everyone, at least you learned of a weakness in the enclosure. I am so glad you and your lovely wife had that honeymoon trip even if it was a few years late!

Glad Slinky was found and that he’s ok. My Nile monitor escaped from my hands while outside because of a surprise visit from my neighbors dog. Wango ( the lizards name ) was under my house for a day and a half before I could get my hands on him and bring him in.

When I saw the notification, my heart dropped. So before I watched this vid, I watched a happier vid with slinky in it to kinda prepare myself, coz I honestly thought the worst had happened, but now I’m so damn relieved that slinky was found and he’s in good health. For the love of God Kenan, I nearly had a heart attack seeing the title! 😭 I bet poor Rob was having a heart attack, too. I am so glad that you found him. When you were setting him up in that enclosure I had the thought that you need to build a lockout building that's connected to his enclosure instead of the little box. You can that way keep him safe without having to move him and you can lock him in that room and know that he's safe connected to that enclosure
