14:00 The guy is 24. Ofcourse he is not mature enough and will grow as soon as he gets away from his controlling mother. She can't compare him to her ex who was a 31 year old man baby who refused to do anything for himself. The poor kid is probably going through trauma because of his mother, hence the anxiety he feels. If she's gonna compare everyone to her exes, she might as well stop dating.

Last story: When I found out my father was cheating on my mother, I told my mother directly. He got angry at me for telling so I told him if he doesn't want to be with my mother anymore he should divorce her, not cheat. Because cheating is wrong. I was 16 at the time and the other woman was my girlfriends mother. Needless to say my girlfriend and I broke up after that because she said she didn't see anything wrong with her mother and my father being together. Plus I also found out later she cheated on me during the relationship. And she was my first girlfriend. Wasn't much impressed by women after that.

story 1: It's so weird that people think everything everywhere is just on just sort of database you can look up. If you bring a receipt they have written proof that something was purchased and when and it might even have a barcode to scan but then there are people who just come in and think your database has a record of them purchasing the item just by face. They don't even give their name, and it's not like they gave their name at checkout. so why do they think that I, a random employee they have never met, have them on record making a purchase six months ago.

The first story hits me a little personally as I used to work for a pizza chain as a driver. The manager there was a pushover and just gave the customers what they wanted without arguing. This one Karen asked me to leave her order outside and leave and said she wouldn't open the door while I was there. This was against policy as we had to at least verify the customer received the order and we can watch them take it inside from our car. Obviously, she called the manager and the manager berated me. I called him out and asked him what set of rules am I supposed to follow? His response was, and I quote, "How can I say this...rules are made to be broken." This was the second time I got in trouble for following policy over the last month, so this was the last straw and I quit. I gave the heads up that I was looking elsewhere for work, but that situation made me say "that's it, I'm done."

With the moving in story, it's tricky. If after talking about it together, she now decides to move out on her own because she doesn't want to have the hassle of being responsible for her partner, this relationship is and should be over. The friendship of 4 years would likely be over as well. People who are unwilling to teach their partner some basics that they have already down and would prefer them to burden themselves by learning from strangers while paying rent to live with strangers instead of with their partner, just so they can have more convenience, are the worst. Being in a relationship means being responsible for each other and growing together.

The first story with managers giving in bothers ne so much. Once I became a manager I changed that at the store I worked. I always backed my staff up! One time another manager and I got into it over a return, it was a used for 2 week air conditioner unit during a heat wave they wanted to return, $699.99 one. I said no the other manager said let's just make them happy I said "then you figure out how to work the register because me and my cashier staff will not return it. It can have your name on the return". She then informed the customers that no we can't return it.

@@Ironica82 lol it's absolutely stupid to not sleep with your partner before getting married. What if they're terrible at it? What if you feel uncomfortable? The only reason that might make sense is when you don't have any experience at all. In that sense it's a shame to live with someone who's terrible at sex just because you don't know anything else or have a choice. None of that has anything to do with success of a marriage. I want to know your sources. Cite your sources. A marriage is about two people wanting to make it work not whether you have sex or not or live together before or not

The donut shop mug story... I'm so happy where I work now the managers stand behind company policy. No receipt, no return, or exchange, (except size exchange for the exact same thing). Only exception is if it broke because of a manufacturer defect, hole in clothes that doesn't look like you did it. Reasonable exceptions. But with a mug you've been using, what did you do to it to crack it and leak? Does it say not microwavable, and you microwaved it? Did you drop it? If you caused the damage, I don't have the authority to rectify the situation. Managers do, they can bite the cost of replacing the mug as guest service recovery; that's why they make the big bucks. I don't. I love it when a manager stands behind you for store policy. Even if they're making an exception, they clearly state my employee is correct we don't do that. However this one time only I can make this exception because of these extenuating circumstances. That I can live with. But don't get bullied into making an exception, that's just not right, and against company policy. ☮️🖖

I actually had someone who said that they would be coming back for my head while working at Panda Express, and I just busted up laughing, telling her that's considered a threat on a minor's life and that I would call the police. She tried complaining to corporate, but my manager told corporate the same thing I said, which was all the funnier. I honestly hated being the only white person there, but I got a decent laugh anytime they tried to accuse me of shit I didn't do or lie about what I did/didn't do. It was too easy to track me in the cameras...

maybe when the father said"This women is the love of his life" maybe just maybe he was talking about your mother?that's my thinking right now i hope there is a update or something. oh shit never mind i'm so stupid i thought the father said "this women is the love of his life" so then that could be him talking about the op's mother but when i went back to check i realized that it was the op's thinking of what he heard why the hell didn't the op instead write "she was the love of his life" because when it showed "this women is the love of his life" i misunderstood it i'm not trying to be rude or anything like it's my fault for misunderstanding what it was saying

you also have too understand that the person isnt you, you cant apply urself into how they are because you had a similarity, it also stated that his mother was very controlling, meaning theres a good chance he didn't have much of a social life. Social life can be a big part of having life experience, as well he stated he had anxiety (most likely severe from re-listening too it) as well as basically no confidence
