Күн бұрын"What's wrong with your wife's skin?" is a common question I get, so Manisha decided to tell her story about growing up with Vitiligo - a skin condition where you lose your pigmentation (skin colour)
I want to clear up the myths are Vitiligo. It's not a disease. She's not in pain. It's no contagious. It's not leprosy. And she's not suffering at all. It's just a simple skin condition with no side effects other than her skin losing its colour.
Manisha will tell you her story, the names people call her, the weird things people say to her, why she doesn't use makeup, how it's affected her dating and marriage proposals, and how she became confident in her skin.
We hope this video will help those with Vitiligo build their own confidence and self-esteem because vitiligo is beautiful and not something that needs to be changed about yourself. Jai Hind.

I am suffering from vitiligo since 2016 went to many doctors and didn't happen anything so after 1 year I stop going but my friend never asked what happened to me.

Most people don't. Not to sound mean to you, but you probably judge yourself about it than other. When people see your skin they know what happened, people don't judge unless you are still in school where kids can be assholes

@@ThePeacePlant I never judge myself or hate myself because I have scars. Infact they are very helpful for me to filter out the assholes around me. So, I think it's a blessing in disguise. People who only care about appearance And look pass one's personality often don't want to associate with me. But, isn't it good. Who want such people in their life? It's like the trash took themselves out. I feel blessed.Because, I have a great family, good friends And a handsome fiance. Life's sorted. I just need to complete my studies and find a job now 😄

People like you who can see beauty and positivity even in serious matters set an example for the world. Also, it inspires many girls or people in general to accept themselves for who they are and believe that they are capable of being loved. Wow. I'm 55, born in South Delhi, emigrated to Canada with my parents when I was 8, married a great woman from Chennai, and have spent the last 30 years in the U.S. I started watching some of Karl's videos because of the Delhi connection, but this video evoked an emotional response in me like no other. Like most educated Indian girls (including my wife), Manisha is confident and expressive. But this video makes it clear that Manisha and Karl are also so very genuine. May God bless them both for sharing this story and educating so many people using this platform.

Her story really touched my heart. I have seen my mother with vitiligo since I was a kid, so many experiences of yours are relatable. people calling names, food restrictions, weird magic tricks etc. I can see it took a lot of toll on her mental health. My father was very supportive thankfully! Way to go girl!!

Great applause to you that you accepted yourself as you are. I started having grey hair at a very early age, like when I was 14 - 15 by age of 16 almost 25 percent of my hair were grey and I was very cautious about it. I started coloring my hair in college days to hide them. People use to make fun of me for it very few (to be honest) but almost everyone used to ask me about it which made me very conscious. Also after a time I felt very irritating. I started wearing cap etc etc. I lost my confidence, and used to be in stress all the time. Then one fine day I decided to accept it, I accepted myself the way I am and since then I never colored my hair (I did once but not to cover my grey hair but for a cosplay). Accepting myself helped me gain back my confidence. I know my problem is nowhere near to people having Vitiligo. Infact it was easier for me to accept myself because I knew after certain age everyone is going to have grey hair so why worry that's what I told myself. But incase of Vitiligo its completely different, even though there is nothing wrong with the person, people often bully such people or call names. But I understand one thing the day you accept yourself for what you are and be comfortable and happy about your own body, other's opinion or word don't matter.

Vitilgo is an autoimmune disease. It is a non communicable disease so people do not have to be afraid that they will contract this disease by coming in contact with any person who has this disease. This lady is very beautiful and articulate.

This is one of my favorite videos from your channel. I do note recall if I mentioned this before but when i was young on a cold winter day I got to school and an unusual thing was happening with my skin. I get to school and when I took off my winter garments my arms were noticed to be 'mottled'. My memory can recall some patterns I can only describe as diamond patterns on my arms. If I had any skin condition it would not be gone now as an adult so I have no idea why this happened in my youth. The school sent me home claiming I had chicken pox at the time. Mother had a good talk with the school over this. I still remember the embarassment I felt at being sent home over nothing

It's parents responsibility to unleash their daughters potential and give them confidence .. i remember when i was 8 years old , i slapped my 2 year younger sister , my mom told my sister to slap me back to teach us that we are equals in each and every aspect of life including respect . Since that day till now at the age of 25 years , i am always proud of my mother , if she wouldn't taught me that day i would not be a good man . While having vitiligo brings it's own problems, extra care and preventive checkups can mitigate most problems and risks. People making fun of a person with such a condition do nothing more than reflect their lack of proper moral values and upbringing. I regret for their parents, families and communities to whom they bring such shame by being absolute degenerates.

@@abunasimali8131 Not everyone. Not all of my family are 'white'. My beautiful niece & 3 of my cousins are mixed race. I've also have dated someone of a different race. Plus on my moms side of the family are extremely dark because years ago there were Asian on my moms side. And reason why I'm so pale is because I take after my dad. Never been racist & never will. I've had plenty of friends over the years black, white, Indian, Chinese etc. All the 'white' people I know arent even racist. I've been brought up to respect everyone doesnt matter what background they come from. If you come to where I live most of people in my town are mixed race. I've worked where I've been the only 'White' person & I do part time foster care which means I've had children from all different backgrounds. Yes people are still racist but it's all of the world so it's not just 'white' people who are racist. I've read so many stories of 'white' people sticking up for someone of a different race/religion. So please dont bring racism into this.

I think we should all appreciate life & respect everyone. I can understand your frustration & I've seen a few comments about this...wanting to see the positive. But what I think he is trying to do is help other people outside India who want to visit to watch out for things. By the sounds of it when he first came over he has fallen into a lot of scams. Theres a lot of scams by me but all over the phone or email than in public. And I see it might put quite a few people off visiting which it shouldn't. I dont know if it is like this in every country but I see there is enough bad press on TV usually about children & women in india. Over here we have a lot of people from India, Pakistan, polish & Romania. I think Indian people are so beautiful inside & out always welcoming. I know quite a few who have visited India & have loved it. I have no idea what culture is like in New Zealand. I think in a way he doesnt mean to put a bad light on India & think he is helping others who want to visit. Maybe you could contact karl through social media & request a video that isnt to do with scams, I'm sure he would appreciate it. He might not respond because he probably gets hundreds of messages everyday. But I'm sure you could some how get his attention even if its waiting for the next video & comment on it straight away for him to see. :)

@@followthebakri4814 Allah is the Arabic word for "God", its not the name of God, it just means God. MaShaAllah means, "God has willed" So I said she is cute because God has willed, God created her the way she is. Simple. Why so much hate? "Civilised people"
