Although I supported Desantis during both of his campaigns in Florida, I have noticed that his manner of communication with the public often appears authoritative and brusque, which lacks appeal. It's important to recognize that even if someone possesses exceptional ideas, their message loses significance if it is delivered in an unpleasant manner.

Lack of insight on Americans needs. Diversity programs are needed. We need those programs to compete on a global level. People are American resources. Those programs harness and develop future resources that will be apart of Americas foundation in the future. Woke is not a crime. As a leader you have to interpret what people are saying. His answers to this slang term woke is not appropriate. As a leader you have to be able to address the issues the country is facing.

I was a huge fan of DeSantis until he got too deep into the culture war nonsense. As a parent of an early elementary child, I supported the FL HB 1557 after I read the entire thing. I didn't see a huge need for it, but perhaps DeSantis was getting ahead of a nationwide trend that was problematic. But honestly, K-3rd graders aren't ready for that topic. I don't have a problem with CRT in advanced college/legal classes but it isn't appropriate in grade school. I believe, Ron took the right approach with COVID. Yes, we had an initial spike (especially with an influx of travelers) but numbers quickly recovered. After all, we all promised to get life back to normal once we got our shots? I got all three of mine! Seems like the Democrats went out of their way to proving the conspiracy theorists right! My children's studies suffered with remote learning and, more importantly, social/mental development that comes with interacting with their peers. Of course, I have some mixed feelings about Ron's dealings with Disney. I'm not a fan of Disney (anymore). They should not have a special district any longer (it was supposed to be temporary). But the timing is just too problematic and sends the wrong message. And, Ron has gone even further right than before. The immigrant stunt was dumb and could only appeal to the most extreme folks - but, to be fair, Martha's Vineyard is a much nicer place than Del Rio, Texas (Texas border towns are rough areas). Earlier, it was easy, DeSantis was obviously better than Trump. Now, it is a lot more nuanced and subjective and it depends on the topic. As a technologist myself, AI is something to be concerned about - more proceed with caution than anything else. We also need to be able to deal with the aftermath of its power.

Kaisich makes a lot of sense. Too bad the GOP doesn't listen to him. He was the only candidate capable of pulling lots of independents and winning the popular vote.

John Kasich is one of the last few republicans who have any common sense. While A majority of the GQP is kissing up to Trump John actually calls out his own party and he speaks the truth.

The issue I have with Kasich is he stayed in the 2016 race too long. There was no chance he could possibly win and all he did was split the vote against Trump, allowing Trump to win the nomination. Kasich stayed in long enough to win his home state of Ohio because he said he could. This was his way of signaling that he could win Ohio and that makes him fit to be President. We got stuck with the worst President ever afterwards. He does however, conduct himself in a respectable manner unlike most of the rest of the Republican party.
