It's the holiday season, which means epic sized meals & New Years resolutions around the corner. I know theres a lot of guilt revolving around over eating, and the concept of using exercise to burn it all off. I decided to become use myself as an experiment to show case the absolute extremes. Is it even possible to accidentally eat 10,000 calories in 1 day, would you gain 5lbs from a few holdiday meals...if you did over eat can ou just go and do an insane workout the next day to burn it all off? Debunking some extremes. Also brought on a registered dieticians and fitness coach psychologist to give some professional insight. Enjoy!

This is one of my favorite videos I have ever watched on KZfaq, period. You have such a beautiful and wholesome view on life; it is nice to see someone who is raw and real about real world issues. You are so incredible, wise, and humble, Keltie. You spread so much love and joy to those around you and I am so, so grateful you are apart of the mental/physical health world because there needs to be more people like you. I hope you have a happy new year! 🤍

Being further into my fitness journey, I wish I had this at the beginning of it. I was over restricting for years and ended up over eating for years to eventually (now) reach a healthier balance. It's not perfect, but nothing is. Life is balance. Period. Enjoy it at your rhythm, your balance.

this challnge felt like such a throwback to your earlier content (it kept reminding me of that apple watch challenge you did trying to burn calories competing against friends) and i think it really just highlights your growth as a person and a creator and how unnatural a challenge like this feels for you now. really appreciated the honest view you gave of how many calories you could really eat and how many you could burn and just saying eh, thats it that's all ive got peace.

KELTIE. I'm literally petting my dog with my left hand while I type this with my right hand. Thank you for all of the wonderful messages you share regarding exercise and food. You're so awesome. I recently started working with a dietitian because I have some icky beliefs about my body and nutrition that I'm trying to work through (shout out to diet culture, babyyyyy!!) and your channel is one of the few that feel safe for me. Grateful for you!! Happy New Year!!

I really needed this video! I am up a couple pounds from being home for the holidays (eating good and taking a full week off) and I am anxious about going out for New Years Eve tonight. I have suffered from a binge eating disorder, but since I'm a very active person I normally just brush it off. But it isn't even about the physical effects anymore, its mentally how food is always on my mind and I allow it to have this hold over me whether that be eating too much past the point of fullness or trying to restrict myself. I see how the other people in my life behave so carefree around food and my only New Years resolution would be to just live in the moment with the people I love and fuel my body with nutritious AND delicious food

This is a fun challenge and gives new meaning to a "cheat day". I think so many of us think that if we have a cheat meal or even a cheat day that it will completely derail our progress. I think it's about having a healthy relationship with all foods. There is no good or bad.

Keltie the final scripted part of this video brought me to tears. You so beautifully said that. That we don't love a song for it being 3 minutes long or a photo because it was taken at exactly 12. It's letting go of the numerals that we constructed as humans in the first place. Numbers don't exist without us in nature, everything simply coincides and exists together and creates without tally, instead it is created simply by intuition and a drive of some kind, maybe passion.

Yes Keltie! I should've known you didn't "just" eat and move to create this content. I appreciate how you build this video up, including your content creator colleagues. The binge feeling that many of us tend to feel around the holidays with all the delicious foods surrounding us was well discussed. I liked the hunger scale with that. It is sad that people feel the need to eat a certain way, or to prevent themselves from eating something. That last one never works. 😅 Intiutive eating is valuable. I appreciate you even more for how you ended this video. We are responsible for the content we consume, as wel as the content we create. What kind of content we follow has a greater impact than some might realize. Happy 2022! Enjoy your day.

Noom is where I learned about intuitive eating and not labeling foods “good or bad” but that some foods are more calorie dense. Noom taught me so much about overall nutrition/ Noom isn’t perfect, but it honestly saved my life. I had a BMI of well over 50 and was suffering because of it. I’m still on a weight loss journey so I can safely do IVF. I started following you originally because we have the same last name ( at least before I got married). Lol. I wasn’t expecting to watch this whole video but it was very well made. I learned these lessons the hard way after a several month cycle of restricting, “cheat days,” and fasting along with over-exercising. I’m lucky to have broke the cycle early and it took about a month to get rid of the hunger and desire to binge. The hunger scale is huge and I still use it at every meal. Also having a dessert everyday and knowing there’s always tomorrow has helped a lot.

Happy new year Keltie. I love you, I appreciate you and cant wait to spend another year following you and watching you grow. This video was so important for many. I don't have a holiday binge as it were because there is only me and my dog at Christmas and other than my work Christmas lunch I don't have any parties or dinners to attend. I do however ALWAYS eat soooo fast, I eat my plate in around 4 minutes. I know this is from childhood lack of food and feeling I need to just eat and I am trying to be better so I know when I'm full, I often finish my dinner and 10 minutes later I'm stuffed, uncomfortably. I also hate food waste so I can't bare to leave anything, again childhood lack of food trauma. Also because I had lack of food I was so skinny as a kid and a teenager and now I look like a woman in her 40s I constantly, subconsciously think I should look like her, you know 90s heroin chic, I had that in spades but not by choice

I agree with what you said about crazy challenges. I 've had to stay away from most of those video's because of my own ED. I always removed people who posted a lot of them. You've always seemed to approach these challenges with a healthier mind set that I found inspiring. Also, due to my PTSD I really had to stay away from folks who are super negative or just negative overtones. It is so funny that I literally have to go look in my subscribed list to see a lot of creators I am subed to, because even though I hit the bell and have notifications on I still don't get notified of their content. I got rid of Insta and FB and my overall mental health improved greatly, as well as I find I am less apathic. Anyway, thank you for your content!! Funny side note, noom was literally a commercial I saw just before you started going off LOL!!

Love this video it really hit home to me. I always try using food as fuel and a chance to enjoy a moment but I also find the fitness industry plays so much into diet culture especially on the holidays. It's so hard to avoid getting sucked into the headspace of working off Xmas food etc. ..also the irony that each add i got during this video was from noom.

I've definitely been feeling that craving things you "can't" have. I just had my gallbladder out and they tell you to eat a mild diet as your body learns to deal with the new system and can't eat a lot of things. Of course that is all I want!
