Things this movie romanticizes: - Kidnapping - Sexual Assault - Stalking - Toxic relationships - The freaking Italian mafia Massimo is a completely ridiculous, fantastical embodiment of what the "perfect" men is supposed to be but he makes any sane woman uncomfortable, with good reason. And I can't sympathize with Laura, she's just so unlikeable. I didn't feel anything at the end when she supposedly died. Waste of one's time type of movie.

How to fix 365 Days: ○ Get rid of the ridiculous obsession. ○ Massimo is an ex-mafia boss trying to make up for his and his father's past mistakes by becoming a mole. ○ The girl (I forgot her name and idc) is kidnapped along with other girls to be sold as prostitudes by another mafia. ○ Massimo can't rescue them all to not blow his cover, so he "buys" her because he recognizes her from the beach. ○ He keeps her safe in his mantion while he makes plans to rescue the other girls. ○ The girl misreads the documents in his office and tries to turn him in, which makes him freak out bc he can get away with things the police cannot, like kicking the pedo's ass in the basement who knows where the girls are and who bought them. ○ Girl decides to help him, maybe her parents were killed by the mafia? ○ Plot twist: it was Massimo's father that killed them ○ *He doesn't force himself on her.* ○ Sorry not sorry for not including səx scenes bc *a healthy relationship doesn't revolve around səx* You complete the rest!

While they got excited about “sexy” scenes and drooled over the dude, I literally had to walk look away and eventually go to the kitchen cuz it was triggering me so badly!!! my theory is that the heart condition was just a device they needed so they wouldn't have to keep drugging her. instead, her heart gives out whenever they need to forcefully place her somewhere hence why it's only mentioned and used in the beginning of the film

The books are full of even more lunacy if you're curious. For one thing, in the next book, Laura doesn't die (because we couldn't drag the "sexy" out otherwise), but instead gets kidnapped by _another_ Mafia boss named Marcelo "Nacho" Matos. No I'm not joking. They straight up named him Nacho. And ofc, she "falls" for HIM as well, so this is all toxic as hell. And THEN she gets shot by Massimo when he tries to save her, and he has to choose between her and the baby, blah blah blah. The NEXT book, Massimo has an evil twin who's British, Laura miscarries and needs a heart transplant, which Nacho gets for her, Massimo kills Laura's dog (which she named Prada after the DESIGNER BAG LINE) and kidnaps her _again_ to re impregnate her, it's fucking insane, somebody help me, God has left us, why are we all here...... The trilogy ends with Laura running away from Massimo only to go to Nacho (because THAT'S healthy) and getting pregnant with his baby instead of Massimo's. Like the author realized how terrible Massimo was halfway through writing the trilogy and switched to Nacho. Or she just got high off of coke. Probably both if we're being honest.

It's extremely concerning that this isn't even the only movie that not only makes kidnapping acceptabke and romantic but promotes it and actively makes it look like something desirable and something women want. It's even sacrier to know that women are the ones writing this stuff. It's so creepy and uncomfortable because why exactly it so important to show something so unhealthy and idk ILLEGAL???

It's akin to gangster or horror movies, the "fun" is in the fact that it's taboo and dangerous. But since such sexual stories are usually written by and for people into such a niche when an outside observer sees it we nope the hell out real quick. This is not a general audience romance movie or even just a bad one, it's a straight up rape fantasy movie.

Fun fact, this movie is nothing more than self-insert porn. And not in a way that 50 shades or twilight is - in this case, the author literally said that while writing this she was in loving but very sexless relationship and so she "wrote sex for herself". Apparently, she picked the main actress to resemble her and the main dude got the role by flirting with her. It's just so crazy if you think about it - she made money by entertaining and making porn for herself every step of the way. I am in awe of that woman.

It's a bit like that only Belle wasn't an idiot and understood the fine balance she needed to do so that she survives. The original story is more of a moral one of women should accept the men their fathers pick for them, even if they are beasty. The time it was written isn't often taken into account. (The original story, not the Disney one.)

The book 356 DNI was actually a fan fiction of fifty shades of gray which is a fan fiction of twilight. 🙃🙃🙃 So it’s a fanfic of a fanfic of a fanfic and it somehow manages to make what was terrible just tragic and mortifying 😣😣😣 Bullshit out of ten would not recommend
